Maybe the realization that what he has given his entire self to building over the last 22 years isn’t going to work going forward hit him yesterday. I’ll take that reaction better than the attitude he had in Tuesday’s press conference. If that is what happened we will likely see one of two things. He will either do his level best to adapt to what needs to change or he will go the way of Saban and walk away from the profession and position he loves. There are probably a lot of people on here who will disagree, but if the man is anything, he is genuine.

Yeah he is authentic and I think he thought his plan would work and now realizes we are going to have to buy a bunch of players in the portal to be good.

You’ve been calling him names like that for years. Arrogant, stubborn and complacent also come to mind. Just another negative adjective to add to your narrative. Recent events have just given you a bigger platform.

Yeah let's bash him because he really cares about what he does. Let's give him a hard time because he's given a good portion of his life working hard for this University and the football program. Let's rake him over the coals because he is a man of principle and morals. Not to mention just last year he won the ACC championship with a team that may not have been one of the two best teams in the conference. I just feel it's a shame that he would be the subject of so much negativity with as much as he has done at Clemson.
