Ok, someone not named Dabo affiliated with Clemson reaches out. He leaves and transfers to Clemson and doesnt sit out.
I mean not sure Tampering is even a rule…either. I hear people talk about it but last i heard Tampering has never been enforced and never will be.

Yes, it is enforced when they can prove it. One of the main things the portal does is give every other school permission to contact.

Show me one case of the ncaa bringing a tampering case on any school.
Washington States coach literally just said the first thing you need to know getting into college football in regards to the portal is there are no rules.
Seriously, can you find a case where the NCAA handed down any type of punishment for tampering.

Looks like the facts of this case are a bit different. Also, this was a head coach doing it personally. A program could not be held responsible for a booster entering an NIL contract with a player. It would actually be illegal under Kavanaugh's opinion for them to try to claim tampering. The NCAA has very little teeth nowadays, as long as you use third parties. I'd also note they targeted a tiny FCS team for this, and still didn't hand down any actual punishment. They want to try to maintain some sense of authority to try to scare programs from doing their own thing. But they have no actual power and would never risk a lawsuit from a school or conference, especially given the ongoing litigations (you don't want a school breaking ranks).

A coach doing it is a the same as the school doing it, he is an employee. So in fact the NCAA has and can go after schools for tampering. As long as the member schools allow the tampering bylaws to exist they are bound by them
I largely agree with a lot of your points though. It’s not something that gets sanctioned very often because a) someone would have to squeal or be super sloppy, b) probably doesn’t happen very often by a coach or school employee c) is pretty difficult to prove.
I agree that when a 3rd party does it, it is not tampering. It’s why at this point a school would be dumb to get caught, just use a 3rd party

Noland was a backup choice, not heavily recruited, when Ohio State missed on Julian Sayin. Julian went to Bama, Saban retired causing Julian to jump back to Ohio St.. so they got their top QB and lucked into a same class backup. Noland was further back in development and saw the writing on the wall with the depth chart and decided to move on. No personal issues

That says nothing. They still have other QBs on their roster like Dante Reno that are all in too. Most schools have 5-6 QBs on their roster.

They took the qb from Ohio state. He will be buried in the depth chart. He would be buried her as well. The kid is a baller in sc but I just don’t see him getting any quality time on the turf. I for one do not see what people see in him. I have seen him in person numerous times. I think there was a reason we didn’t want him in the first place. That absolutely was the case as he and the family are diehard Clemson fans. He only went to sc when Clemson wouldn’t give him a spot.

I wouldn't at all. In today's college football, if you need a QB, you just go snag one from the portal, if your current depth isn't good enough. Take Air Noland. I'd like to have him, but the truth is, if we need one next year, there will be 10 like him in the portal. Literally 10 like him as he's rated the 10th best QB this year. Paying money like what we assume they paid, for a backup, is an insane way to tie up funds.

occasions. I am sure he's scratching his head, wondering what to do right about now. They now have a very strong three QB room, without even knowing whoever else is on the roster. Shoring up the most important position seems like a good philosophy. Some on here have said that you just go get one if you need one, but you can't do that if you wait until after a third game high ankle sprain or turf toe (throw back to Nealon Greene)....

I don't think Air Noland is a "bench QB." This guy was a 5 Star and did very well in the Elite 11. He was a monster in high school, breaking records set by Lawrence and Deshaun. If he's committed to South Carolina, it likely means Sellars is leaving.
That said, South Carolina is NOT known for business by anyone that matters. South Carolina loves to brag about an international business major they have. But it's a major that (1) basically doesn't exist and (2) has no value as a degree, because no company that does international business wants someone with just a BA. You'll need an elite JD or MBA to be competitive for those jobs. But MBA programs typically are not worth very much, and only exist at 90% of schools because it's a huge cash cow for them. It provides little value to most graduates and is only justifiable in two situations. (1) you want to work at a major corporation and have good enough grades/scores/work experience to get into an M7 or (2) your current employer requires an advanced degree for you to move up in the company, and they're paying for it. So to really get a degree that matters, you need to go to one ranked in the top 7. South Carolina is at #59. So knowing they're irrelevant, South Carolina points people at rankings for their fake major where they have no competition to distract students from the fact that their degree isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Some companies, like those that are owned by Mark Cuban (who I am not a big fan of) will not hire people with MBAs. Cuban thinks that they are a waste of money and on job experience is much more valuable. I think many people get them because they are relatively easy to obtain and it looks good on their resume.

I'm sure there are some companies that prefer job experience. I haven't encountered international businesses that outright refuse M7 MBAs. Mark Cuban only owns a majority share in two corporations, the Mavericks and a film company called 2929 Entertainment. Neither of those is an international corporation. I didn't look up the Mavericks, but the CEO, Managing Director, VP of Accounting, and COO of 2929 all have MBAs. I just checked their linkedins. So I suspect this is something Cuban lies about because it sounds good.

Go find me a bunch of South Carolina International Business grads working at international corporations without a good MBA. You won't. It has no job placement power because those that want business degrees want more than a bachelors and South Carolina is too mediocre of a school overall to attract their attention.

If cutter is afraid to compete then joining Shane Beamer team isn’t the right fit for him, can’t be a freshman and expect coaches to stop recruiting players, what if USC were to get the #1 QB in the next class, would South Carolina be doing cutter dirty then? Clemson must of done Kelly Bryant dirty by bringing in Trevor Lawrence I suppose to right?
