CU vs Ugay prediction

D line has the depth to rotate out and keep guys fresh and the linebackers are elite! Corners are the only question mark on defense but I have a feeling they will be ready to play.
As for the offense, if coach Luke can coach up the o line and give Cade time and not run for his life every time he drops back we will be fine. The receivers will be much improved with Wesco and Moore being added to the group! Mafah will give the leg jumpers flashbacks of Derrick Henry with his blend of size and speed! Mafah man and Termite 2.0 will wear down the leg humpers defense. Cade and Co. will pick them apart!
Prediction for the butt sniffers is pain!
CU wins by 10!
Go Tigers! Spot the #### ball!

Corners aren't a question. Lukas and Terrell will start and Lewis is a great 3rd.
This will be the most complete defensive unit we've had on the field since 18'
The question is going to be Cade's game management and being able to play within the system without the bone headed mistakes.

If CK and the oline improve, 34 - 14 Dawgs. If they haven't improved, it may get sideways for Clemson.

Not at all. This game likely goes one of two ways. 1) Clemson's QB and oline are improved and Clemson's defense keeps it close for 3 quarters. UGA'S talent and depth show up and Dawgs pull away late. 2) No improvement for Clemson's oline and CK continues to make catastrophic mistakes against a dialed in Georgia team looking to make a statement. If scenario 2 happens, its gonna get ugly.

With Clemson's Defense I don't see anyway it gets ugly. Now I could see 27-14 Georgia. The last 7 coming in tbe 4th. If our offense has zero improvement the 14 could be 10. If our offense can get to 24 buckle up for 4 quarter battle. Too much talent on Clemson D for a Georgia blowout.

The corners are untested and inexperienced. Lukus and Terrell are both very talented corners no doubt but, Lukus hasn’t been able to stay healthy and Terrell is a true sophomore. That’s why I say they are a question mark. Losing Nate hurt.

This take. I had the same thoughts. Our secondary is legit. A consistent Cade is my biggest question mark. I pray we don’t see his patented panic lob into a bunch of traffic this year. He definitely cut those down but still was good for a couple per game. I’d rather see the throw it away and play the next down.

The O line issues want be fixed by the GA game. Just hope we see some improvement. If CK can make a few plays and stay away from the big mistake they have a chance. The defense will have to be solid and force some mistakes.

But THIS TIME, I really MEAN IT. The Dawgs are the most deserving team.
If there is one shred of supernatural morality left in this world, then, the Dawgs go down for nothing less than for liberty, freedom, justice, & love of God.
Please, oh please, let there be a new dawn of justice!

advertised, it won't matter if CK holds on to the ball too long. He seems to struggle with making quick decisions and seeing the field. You watch good QBs and their timing... 1,2,3, zip it. They anticipate the cuts, get the ball out quick, and throw the receivers open. You can't wait for someone to be running free...
Man, I'd love to be wrong, but I'm afraid this game could get ugly. UGA will come after him.

Clemson will be running a hurry up offense. The new Tiger receivers will have the dawg defensive splits setup for Mafah to eat. Tiger defense will slap the Georgia offense around all night. Tigers will win.

I think our formula for keeping it close will be much of what we saw the last half of last year. Protect cade. Lean on the defense. Let Mafah eat.

I like our chances a lot better with no Bowers or McConkey on their side. Klub has to play better than any game in his brief career. Defense has to hound them all day.

I think a lot of you are setting yourselves up for a huge disappointment. I’m as big a Tiger as anyone here but I’m also a realist.
I see a lot pointing to the 10-3 game. That game may as well have been over a decade ago. These 2 programs have went in different directions since that game so that has absolutely zero bearing on this one coming.
I also see a lot of people pointing to Moore and Wesco as being big difference makers. They are freshmen yall. They’ve never played a down of college football. Don’t put those type of expectations on those kids in game 1. It’s totally unfair to them. They’re not going to go crazy against the UGA defense.
If this game were week 5/6.. then maybe we would have a shot. Game 1… it’s not going to be pretty. See Georgia’s last 2 week 1 games and that’s what I think is going to happen again. We don’t have the OL to protect Cade against the loads and loads of depth UGA has up front on defense.
I’m sure I’ll get the downvotes like crazy and that’s fine… I don’t care about the pulse but I know many or most of you do. I’m just giving my honest opinion.
Yes we’re going to show up an play the game regardless of what I think so please save the “why even show up” responses. It’s just my opinion and of course I pray I’m wrong but I don’t think so.
I think this game is over by the end of the 1st quarter. Georgia will be dialed in and ready bc they always are. I’m all for homerism but you have to be honest with yourself in that we are outmatched at almost every position.
The flip side is this game is going to make us better in the long run this season and even if we lose 56-0 it has no bearing on our goal of making the playoffs. All we have to do is win the ACC and we’re in so we will reap the benefits from this game later in the season.

My predictions aren't meant as a slight to Clemson. I just don't think those teams are in the same place right now. Its hard to find any position group, other than maybe dline, where Clemson has the advantage. With some improvement this year, I think Clemson is likely a playoff team. Barring UGA losing the turnover battle 4-0, like they did against SC in 2019, I don't see a scenario favorable for a Clemson win.

I think it gets ugly for the good guys unfortunately. Unless the light comes on for Cade over the summer, he hasn’t faced a defense like he’s going to in UGA. He’s going to have to play his best college game and by a wide margin. I didn’t get the warm and fuzzies from his last drive against Kentucky like a lot of folks on here did. I saw the rest of his performance and thought it’s getting close to time to turn the page on him. I’m already having nightmares about some of his blind lobs down in Atlanta.
We’re not going to be able to lean on Mafah like we can against most everyone else. I think the two freshman will be the best WRs on the team by the end of the year, but not in this first game. We struggled scoring on anyone the last few years, I just am having trouble seeing where the points are coming vs UGA.
I am excited to see our defense on the flip side. I think ultimately they wear down by the end of the game, but I think we have a chance to be special on this side of the ball and I hope to see some flashes here.
I’ll be happy with a strong defensive showing, some signs of OL competency, and Cade playing with some maturity. All three could point to a great regular season after game one.

Wish I could be optimistic but Im unless QB. WR & OL play improves dramatically
Jun 13, 2024, 8:55 AM

I can’t see us keeping it close (17 Pts). With that being said:
The D is very solid and wil hold their own especially in an early season game
Cade has the physical ability he just has not shown a good FB IQ, or true maturity, maybe he has grown up some this year with all the LOW rankings he gettin by numerous publications (5-6 best QB in ACC)
several of WR played hurt over the last 2 seasons and with the 2 freshmen that are coming in this group could surpass expectations
With the new OL coach with experience he could potentially get this group to over achieve
If those 3 thing improve and we have had since the Gator Bowl to focus on this game and the BALL bounces the right way (our way), I could see a close game or even a potential a 24-21 victory!!
