Strange story.

Apparently the recruiting coordinator was fired for this reason.

Kid transfers in last year from UAB.
Kid doesn't play much.
Kid transfers out to UCLA.
Kid tries to extort 100K from the recruiting coordinator.
Kid says if he doesn't get the money he will turn the coordinator into the NCAA for tampering with him last year while being recruited.
(Some sources are saying the kid is also ticked off because he wasn't given all the NIL money he was promised.)

So, Coots fire the recruiting coordinator.

Below is a link to one version of the story. I know this guy is not at all liked on this board. I understand if you don't want to give him any clicks. I tried to summarize the major points above. He also adds some less than complimentary statements about the player's morals. He also is quick to blast the Coot athletic department.

Probably not an uncommon occurrence in the NIL era ….

I hope more kids turn on the tampering schools…it will be fun to watch…

That is imo the only way this will get resolved, or at least under control. Short of congress getting involved and I think that really would be a disaster.

Probably going to hear about more "prostitutes" turning on their "pimps". Until this NIL gets regulated then look to see more ugliness.
