that they rely on. I love sports, but can certainly live without it. Only so much $$ to go around and I predict less moving forward as fans begin to check out from this madness.

It's capitalism. Capitalism increases wealth. There is no madness except for the Chicken Littles' brand. The sky is not falling.

The only issue now is the market crash & the dollar value is headed to rock bottom,
I wish I could see it as different but until we get a government that doesn’t spend more than they take in, we are headed for trouble.

Unfortunately, I have heard my entire life how the debt and deficits are going to kill the USA. It hasn’t happened yet. If you do the math, there is no way out of this hole. However, when every country has a “dirty shirt” it’s good to have the least dirty shirt and that’s where we are. As long as there is a demand for our debt, we’ll keep kicking the can down the road.

Not so far out to remember what it was like in 2020 when all live sports stopped and we had to watch reruns. It was depressing. I for one can't live without it.

I think it will just be like Laker games. They are packed and only upper middle class on up to the most elite will attend. The rest will watch TV and still love it. I prefer TV anyway.

That goes with anything sales related, inflation wouldn't go where it goes if everyone else would just not follow suit with the price gouging and people just not buy, but theres to many people in the country for everyone to get on the same page. It'll just never happen.

I’m not sure where they get their numbers that college football is stronger than ever and growing. Maybe it is , i can say personally no way it is near as fun to go to a college football in 2024 as it was 15 years ago and players jumping teams definitely drives down my interest. I am not interested in a 19 year old making an announcement he’s decided to go from his Freshman to Sophomore at the school i pull for . And I’d donate to the liberal socialist party before I’d consider writing a check to a 20 year old because the good Lord blessed him with the ability to run fast and i want him to stay at the team I pull for. Theres psychiatrist with empty couches waiting on those men who give money to 18-22 year olds for football

We have to decide what we can accept and still watch the games. And those are individual decisions. Doesn't make yours right or mine right. But I LOVE the games and all the stuff away from the games isn't going to take away from that. Others may disagree. That's fine.

The big change in college sports ...
Jun 15, 2024, 10:20 AM
|

Will occur when the SEC and B1G splits from the NCAA and takes their TV money with them. Non-football and Women's sports will take a big hit especially in the ACC, Big 12, and other smaller conferences outside the Big 2 -- look for these sports to return to regional based conferences.
