Never mention that game again , please. I drove 11 hrs to see that . I want my gas money back. To the OP , there is little respect out there for our QB/OL/RB 's . Thinking most pundits addume that the homefield and the SEC defense will create too much havoc for our replenished and unproven offensive team. I guess we just need to stomp that mudhole and then sit back and enjoy the week that follows as the experys redouble their efforts to look like the experts once again. Tigers 30-24

Don't get me wrong: I like the SEC...always have...

always enjoy watching their gridiron matches.
But these media-influenced suggestions that other conference teams either do or don't meet SEC-qualifications are the biggest bunch of horsemanure fostered upon the American people in recent memory.
Yesterday, I read a national writer's "opinion" that the REAL Death Valley, meaning OURS, was "SEC-like." Might want to ask Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State fans (to name a few) if they feel like their stadiums are SEC-like.
Now, Mark Richt believes his team is SEC-ready. That statement begs the real question: are they Clemson-ready?
They sure as he1l weren't last year....And despite home-field and crowd advantage this year, I doubt they'll be ready this year.
Which means......WE ARE CLEMSON-READY!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIGERRRRRRRRRRSSSS!!!! STOMP THE DWAGS!!!!

I don't sit around wringing my hands and fretting over the SEC (and I'm sure you don't either) but this business of SEC-this and SEC-that got old about the first time I saw it.
Kind of reminds me of a self-butt-licking dog, infatuated with his own smell or pewp to the point of feeling some urge to smell it or taste it.
How about the old, tried and proven true idea that this team or that one is ready for its opponents...despite their affiliation? It's worked for me for 50+ years, and it surely ought to work for everyone else.

The branding of the SEC by ESPN and CBS and their many subordinate affiliates has been in full frontal mode since Timbow a National Championship . Teams like CU , FSU and VaTech are every bit as good as that league , and in most cases better , but we are looked down on for having the WF's and Dukes in our midst. I laugh at all the SEC homers that constantly laud over a conference as a whole ...it makes zero since unless one were trying to associate with the 4 successful programs that they have had in the last decade.

Well said, "Oh Seasoned One", like me. I don't care about the conference affiliation, and I wish the pundits wouldn't associate every team in one as being a factor, and hardly anyone in another as a possibility just because of conference. It is laughable.

What you folks fail to think of is the sec grind on a team. If we played all the acc patsy schools that you all play we could stay healthy. Move to the sec and take the licks then you can have an opinion on it.

difficult, if not more so, than playing in the sec eastern - it all has to do with who a team plays from the "other side of the bracket."

We see auburn every year and most likely bama in the seccg and thats great but uscjr is better than it ever has been, and im sure you all agree.....whens the last time you beat those guys? Florida is in a slump but has great talent and tennesse is on the rise with butch at the helm. Ask anyone about recent vandy teams and they will all say they play you tough. Kentucky is.....well its kentucky and theyre only relevant in roundball sports. So i see your point as the west has been stronger but you cant believe the seceast is a patsy and if so youre delusional.
