and I can see why since I ran into him several years ago leaving stadium and the high-5, personal energy & smile he gave me in just a few secs made me a fan.
Plus, he was wearing Orange pants which added points too!
For a former WVU President who helped them raise over a $100,000,000 for improvements academically & athletically..he has done similar needed monetary improvements here thru his expertise, personality & everyday hands-on approach.

to get anyone that would do a better job than he does. I’m not just talking athletics or academics. He does a great job in every aspect of the university and he’s like Dabo in regards to having endless energy. He’s always cheering at the different sporting events. It doesn’t matter if it’s men’s, women’s football, basketball, golf, softball or rowing, etc and he always represents us with class.

Our academic rankings have dropped some since he took over

which is not directly his fault, but it has occurred under his watch.
The biggest explanation for this is the fact that we've increased enrollment. More seats in the class = higher acceptance rate = slightly lower GPA and SAT scores for accepted students.
This isn't to say that Clemson is easy to get into, or not a great school. We know that it is a very good school and not easy to get into, but these things impact the university's reputation and I hope he hasn't forgotten that.

That and academic ratings are fake. An honors class A in one easy school is a 5.0. And a few difficult non-honors class B at an elite school will keep a kid out of Clemson.

I guess we all have different perspectives. But academic rankings have gone down, administration positions have increased and town-gown relations have seriously declined. Yes more students and more donations and more buildings but those don’t necessarily make a great university.
