Thank you for reminding me about the statement of the year. I was anything but lugubrious when CDS made the "stock" statement. It had escaped me. Due mostly to the amount of cervezas I had consumed. I was unable to watch live, and finished watching the playback at 930pm. Not judging those who were tanked at the end of the game around 4pm, but i wouldn't have forgotten about the quote if I had watched live.

and not into corner of endzone where only tall tight ends can catch the ball? Throwning low to 6 ft.6TE covered by 3 defenders has to be poor coaching right?

Coaches are teaching our QB to make inaccurate throws. Keeps the opponents DB’s guessing as to whether they should stay close to our WR’s, or whether to just hang out and wait for the pass to come their way. I watched the re-run of the NC State game. If you do, then you’ll see what I mean.
Against ND, our coaches FINALLY simplified the game plan down to minimize mistakes. I’m glad that RPO appears to have been deep-sixed. We still try to get too fancy down at the goal line. One day our coaches will figure this out. Simple play calls also lessen the likelihood of penalties by our offense.
Hopefully the ND game will be the start of a trend to simplify our QB’s role to one of a game manager.

One thing I have noticed and am sure I’m not alone, Klubnik only looks at one receiver and throws it there. Deshawn and Trevor almost always would look at multiple receivers before the throw. I don’t know if it’s his nervousness or lack of confidence or his ability but he is throwing into coverage almost every play.

Don’t laugh but here is what Riley should do when Ship comes back: He can catch passes and get yardage after he does, so make him a slot receiver and make Mafah the starting back. He earned it, and Ship has not had a very good year over all. Renfrow made slot receiver a huge weapon for our offense. Ship can do that too. This will require some creativity on Riley’s part (and Dabo’s). Are they up to it?

it's time to focus on Georgia Tech. The ND win was a confidence booster for the team and they relished in it for a day. Hope they put it in the rearview mirror. There is more meat on the bone to get with three remaining games and possibly a fourth.
