Strength and Conditioning!
Rick Franzblau is highly regarded in the S&C world and his specialty has been Olympic sports. He's in his 11th year with the baseball team and I don't see guys getting any bigger or stronger. Most of the guys on the team do not like him and and say they don't move weights. His philosophy is different. Many of our players go lift of their own after the team workouts just to move heavy weight!
Looking around at other teams in the regionals and they got some DUDES who are jacked! LSU, NC, Duke, UGA, UT, Texas, etc. Lift Heavy, Hit Bombs! Lift Heavy, Throw Gas!
We have a new facility that's beautiful and loaded with everything you need now we need to go get a S&C coach that can get these guys bigger, stronger, faster! With the facilities in place it should not be that hard.

Please enlighten me on the players over that last few season who have gotten bigger and stronger? Most of the "bigger" guys were bigger when they arrived and have been gym rats for a while.

How many of these other teams are using new and untested for SARMS?

SARMS is banned and included in the anabolic category and tested. Also SARMS has been around for a long time and been banned by the NCAA for at least 15 years.
Most recently, the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports has heard a number of appeals of positive drug tests on behalf of student-athletes who have tested positive for selective androgen receptor modulators, SARMs, and selective estrogen receptor modulators, SERMs. These were reportedly consumed by student-athletes who claim they only used legally obtained dietary supplements. In NCAA drug testing during the 2013-14 season, two student-athletes tested positive for SARMs; in 2016-17, 28 student-athletes tested positive and were sanctioned. SARMs are banned under the anabolic agents class of drugs, and SERMs are banned under the anti-estrogen class. Both classes are sanctioned as performance enhancing drugs.

You are grasping at straws. About like it being JL’s fault or the fact we hosted the Savannah Bananas. I guess it cannot be that we just do not have a very good pitching staff.

Not grasping for straws at all. Please show me the players over that last few seasons who have gotten bigger and stronger? I'll wait.....
I agree that the pitching staff was underwhelming, but mostly due to injuries. And maybe some of those injuries don't happen with bigger stronger guys?

Players not developing physically is grasping at straws? Our power numbers and just the lack of growth from our players year to year more than warrants OP’s concerns. He is right

Lifting heavy doesn’t build more speed. Actually yoga and exercise that lengthens the muscle build a better throwing base. Bulk doesn’t equal home runs either. It’s more about contact when the hips and wrist flip simultaneously. Here is an except on why yoga is superior for throwing : Yoga can build a stronger throwing arm by enhancing overall body awareness, balance, and flexibility, which are crucial for effective throwing mechanics. Additionally, yoga strengthens the muscles used in throwing through bodyweight resistance, promoting functional strength that translates well to athletic movements.
Here’s an excerpt explaining brute strength doesn’t hit home runs: Hitting a home run involves a combination of factors including timing, bat speed, and technique, rather than just brute strength. Players with good hand-eye coordination and the ability to read pitches often excel in hitting home runs, regardless of their physical size.
Granted, muscle mass does help. Hitting and throwing had so much more to do with genetics and given ability than lifting your way to the 100mph club or 40 home run club.
Hitting isn’t the issue. We averaged more than enough runs. We couldn’t shut down other teams. That’s pitching. We lost two studs to UCL tears which is super common. Again, that’s not a training issue it’s a genetics issue. Throwing is an unnatural motion that destroys joints. We just had bad luck losing Moeller, Cole, and Darden. Elite pitching trumps elite hitting.

Lifting heavy the correct way will most definitely help produce quickness, speed and power. I'm not talking about just getting in the gym and doing three lifts as heavy as possible and bulking up. Plenty of resources out there to show how lifting heavy weights, properly can produce more FORCE into the ground. The more FORCE into the ground will produce more power at the end of the kinetic link.
You are correct that pitching is an unnatural movement that puts way too much stress on the shoulder and elbow, but proper training can also alleviate some of this, but not all of it.

I think the more muscle = more power argument is a correlation not causation. If muscle was the case, Tristan Bissetta would've hit more home runs than Cannarella did last year, and way more than Blake Wright. Bissetta had 20 ABs/HR, Cannarella had 22 ABs/HR, and Wright had 11 ABs/HR. It's way more about mechanics, strategy, and pure talent than muscle alone. We had a terrible hitting strategy this year, which gave less opportunities for homers. Obviously, you have guys like McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds who roided up to hit more homeruns, but Griffey hit 630 while staying under 200 lbs (exact same size as Jack Crighton mind you). I think on the pitching side it can be chalked up to over usage rather than not weightlifting. Knaak is one of the smaller pitchers we have, and he threw the hardest pitch this year at 96 mph. I feel like if they truly had an issue with S&C he would've been gone by now.

That’s because hitting is way more about bat speed than strength.
