Coach Brownell

Mar 15, 2014, 11:20 PM

I was at the first USC-Ole Miss game this afternoon with two former roommates from USC. We agreed that Brownell is a likable guy who seems to be doing a very good job up there. We couldn't think of anything negative to say about him. Question: Are we missing something?

Seriously, he seems like the real deal. You have a good one there.

Got to give you credit here, not many fans will say that. He is a pretty good class act guy from what i know of him too. Keeps his cool, tries to get the best out of the guys he has there. Its easy to win at duke and UNC when u got 4 and 5 star guys ya know. I am very proud to have him!

Thanks. He's recruiting well, coaching well.

Investments in the program (facilities, coaches) should move things further in the right direction.

(A bit long).
I think he is the real deal, and a good coach.
I don't know if a lot of people realize the problems he inherited from Oliver Purnell( only two upperclassmen)
,or the two players who transferred out,or even the injuries last year to Blossingame,or this year to Patrick Rooks.
Hoefully K.J. comes back next year, and with a healthy team we might make the tournament.

One negative.Clemson has to find ways to win those early season OOC games( losses to UMASS,Auburn, and Arkansas) hurt).
We also need to win more road conference games. You can forget Duke,or UNC at Chapel Hill.
That ain't going to happen as long as we have Swoffie as commissioner, and a league officating office that either turns a blind eye to Clemson,or is deathtly afraid of offending those two primma donna head coaches who seem to think they rule the roost.
