Clemson Players and the NFL

So after Pickens comment I decided to take 10 seconds to look this up, Prior to the 2017 draft Clemson had 45 former players on an NFL roster, USuC had 28. It took me 10 seconds to find this out which could've saved this kid 3-4 years of losses in late november games.

If we just look at defensive ends, they have Clowney and Ingram, and both are really good. Clemson has Vic Beasley and Andre Branch. Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd have “faded away” so far. Da’quan Bowers was a bust. I think Clelin is pretty similar to Branch, but he’s definitely no Vic. Not sure about Austin Bryant. I really like Christian and Dexter. I think both of them will be great pros.

Clowney has played how many full seasons? Just curious cause last I checked he's been good in small spurts but how much have you heard about him since his departure since he left CFB except for mild occasions, pretty sure DW4 has 10x his exposure time in only a year. Nearly 20 more players in the NFL is pretty solid and shows you'll get there through Clemson.

What has Clowney done in the NFL to make you say he's been really good? He's a freak for sure, but the results haven't been there.
I don't think Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd have been in the league long enough to be judged as "fade away". If anything you can say that about Clowney, who was the number 1 overall pick and people have constantly said that Khalil Mack for the Raiders would have been the much better pick

In 2016, Clowney led the NFL in tackles for loss. In 2017, he finished 2nd in tackles for loss, and made the Pro Bowl. Sooo, yeah. He’s been pretty good. Shaq and Dodd haven’t done anything in 2 years. They both have a lot to prove this year.

It’s funny hearing people on this board asking what Clowney has done in the NFL lol. He’s been very good so far. Clemson’s DEs haven’t quite lived up to their hype. Hopefully Vic can get back to his 2016 form when he led the NFL in sacks. I would love to see Cle and Bryant be successful, but in my opinion, neither are as good as Shaq Lawson was.

his SO season...He is more of an injury scratch than a bust...Nobody in the pros thought he would make it to his 2nd contract...and he did
