If we're talking a typical game yes. But actually a lot more people watched the final game of the NBA finals than the CFB national championship this year by a large margin from what I read. Welcome to tigernet btw

There were only 2 games that had more viewers than our game against Bama, and those were 2 world cup matches.

Actually US viewership of the CFP final and the NBA finals

were really close. Game 7 of the NBA finals was the most watched individual game drawing around 31mil viewers. I think Clemson - Bama had 26mil viewers across all ESPN platforms which was pretty close (maybe a bit higher) than the average of the NBA finals games.

Internationally though, it's not even close. Basketball is the 2nd most popular sport in the world behind soccer, and the NBA is growing very, very rapidly overseas.
