This is an issue im so torn about.

On one hand these could potentially save hundreds of young lives.

On the other they could unintentionally enable further opioid abuse and be a catalyst of hundreds more overdoses.

I hope there's no way it will save hundreds of lives on the CU campus. If it does drug tests should become part of the application process. Just sayin'.

i was more speaking in a general sense. These kits are popping up all over the country in schools, vending machines, and other public places.

Feels like a bandaid solution to a gushing wound of a problem.

I am assuming you also feel providing food assistance to the poor encourages laziness. Have a heart for God's sake.

This could save lives so I'm all for it but it's a sad time in America that this even has to be done.

I admit I don't know what the answer is to combat this but I do know that decriminalization is NOT the answer....the drug epidemic and mental health crisis along with immigration will break this country and I fear it will be sooner than later

Hope I'm wrong

I think part of the answer is shutting down a lot of the pain clinics that are really shams for pushing opiod pain killers to anyone who walks in the door.

This is fantastic. Narcan saves lives. Period.

Clemson and the surrounding area has had somewhat of an opioid epidemic for years. Great news to see this.

Everyone makes their own decisions everyday. What time to wake up, what to eat, etc

They also make decisions on whether or not to drink alcohol, smoke or dip or chew tobacco, to do drugs or not. It’s an individual choice, not something taxpayers should have to participate in

This may be an unpopular opinion but it’s the truth

This sort of logic implies that we should stop funding ambulances for car accidents. It's the same thing as saying that because someone decided to get behind the wheel of a car, so they should assume all the risk and taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for their help or safety if they have a wreck.

With all the money they are saving by not putting tampons in men’s restrooms.

Just kidding. This is a great thing. Unless we are going to get serious about stopping fentanyl from entering the country, things like this will continue to be needed. I know people can overdose from opiates that don’t contain fentanyl, but that particular poison has made accidental overdoses extremely more common.
