Watched that video earlier. Don't buy anything they are saying but they did say UNC and ncst to sec along with Clemson and FSU. They are just pissing in the wind like everyone else. I will concern myself with this nonsense when something actually happens.

Not what they said. They said it was possible they'd bring Clemson and FSU over, but they didn't think it was likely and expected it would just be those two.
But I agree on the other points. They don't know anything. I think it's certainly possible Clemson gets left out of either conference. The Big 10 wants that one accreditation and South Carolina and Florida might oppose Clemson/FSU from joining the SEC (and they don't get the expansion of TV market like they do by adding a North Carolina school - I worked in broadcasting and our viewership isn't the driver people think it is. It's more about reaching new DMAs). But I still think it's more likely than not Clemson and FSU end up in the SEC within the next 5-10 years.

So much of what they “reported” and speculated makes zero sense financially. Plus they completely ignored of these teams get moved by ESPN without resolving how the ACC GoR either gets killed off or paid off to compensate the schools left in an East Coast mid-major conference. AppSt, ECU as replacements? ESPN has no reason to opt into the current ACC terms after 2027 under these scenarios. They would be better to let the contract die, then pay the ACC mid-major tv revenue under a new contract.

The implication (to me) was if ESPN wants teams out of the ACC and into the SEC the GOR will not be a problem.
My speculation is this is what they were thinking:
The deal will be struck -
1. 4 teams leave the ACC for SEC (UNC, NCSU, Clemson, FSU_
2. 4 teams join the ACC (USF, Memphis, Tulane and one other)
3. ESPN agrees to pay ACC the same amount of money thru 2036 and the 4 departing teams do not have to pay anything on the GOR for leaving.
The only thing eveybody seems to agree on is that money drives the train and ESPN has the money.

That would lessen their revenue (ratings) by A LOT but keep their costs the same (payout).
Unless there is motivation for them to do otherwise, they just need to do....nothing. I can only see 1 reason they would do what you speculated. The only motivation I can think of is that they are legitimately concerned Clemson will win its lawsuit, thus losing media rights to our games once we leave.

Watched the whole thing (it was about 2 hours long).
I agree with much of what they said, but disagree with others. They kept coming back to ESPN is the driving force. They said that ESPN would be telling the SEC who they wanted in the conference. They were less strong about Fox and B1G but then agreed with me when I posted "ESPN and Fox will tell the SEC and B1G who to add and they will add those teams.
But, then, they kept coming back to "The B1G doesn't want Clemson." They also said, "Fox told the B1G, 'we want the Los Angeles market' so the B1G added UCLA and USC."
They disagree with me when I said tht I thought Fox and ESPN were working together and would figure out how to divide the teams. They insisted that Fox wasn't involved in this expansion talk and it was all ESPN telling the SEC to get UNC into the fold.
Finally, they said that SEC, if they went to 20, would take FSU and Clemson.
At any rate, they - just like all of us - are speculating and guessing.
