If he doesn't start beating Michigan he won't be there in 2 years.

Ocryo state has bought themselves a team as FSU did last year. Couple that with the fact Michigan lost it's head coach and a good bit of their team, I say this might be the bucknuts year.

Hard pass. We don't need to have Cryin' Ryan Day's son on our team passing along the playcalls to daddy.

But the fact that his son wants to see Clemson shows how special our campus really is. Daddy Day has always been envious of Dabo so it probably made young Day curious. But regardless the kid is very very well spoken and seems to have his head on straight.

You're a loving father that wants the best for your son. Certainly, you'd want him to play for you, but that brings on so much pressure both in your family life and with your bosses. If you could have your son play for any other coach, who would it be? Who would you place your faith in to coach, mentor and mold your son?
It's kind of a no-brainer.

Yes sir, and a lot of college coaches have sent their sons to Clemson knowing that Dabo would be the perfect baby sitter!!!

Agree. Seems like a good recruiting tool. Recruits see that a well known coach at one of the top programs has his son playing for Dabo has to be a great positive statement about Dabo. TV media will give it plenty of coverage during games. Didn't hurt us when an OHIO STATE grad, ESPN analyst and star player had his two sons playing for Dabo.

6'0" 195# unrated rising soph QB w/offers only from Marshall & BC. Not worth it.

After all of the recruiting battles we've had with tOSU, I'm sure that Ryan Day already knew about our campus, coaches, and sales pitch. I highly doubt that he's using his son as a spy. But considering that RJ Day isn't likely to be a top-tier prospect, I don't think he's worth the minimal risk & effort. If Ryan Day thought that RJ was going to be elite, tOSU would offer him and lock him in. More likely, Ryan is just trying to avoid the problem of wasting a scholarship on a QB that will never make the 2-deep-- perhaps like Mark Richt did with his son, Jon Richt by sending him to Tommy Bowden.

Coach Ritch was and is a devout Christian as was Tommy Bowden. Ritch wanted his son exposed to a Christian coach's values.

If so, then Mark Richt could have exposed Jon to christian values at UGA.
