I actually gave y'all a break on the first drive of the game, Ohio State had a one on one at the wide side of the field but Fields chose to throw it to the short side. That play should have been a TD for sure, so another +4... but I'm feeling generous today so - nah.

By this impeccable logic, Alabama "should've" beat us in last year's title game. Well what do you know, the Clemson Tigers happen to play great redzone defense! We may give up yardage but we make stops when we have to have them. While I might concede that the scoop-&-score was a borderline call, does one really contend that OSU didn't rough our punter? That was a mental mistake by OSU special teams, not a gift from the officials. The targeting call was the right one - video evidence is clear. That was no doubt a game-changer, but credit our offense for taking advantage of the opportunity. The reversal of the TD catch was inarguably the right call too.
If OSU had executed better in the redzone, there wouldn't even be any "controversy" over the officiating. So for the butthurt Bucknuts it's wait till next year. At least y'all have a basketball team worth cheering for.

That was a losers drive.
Ohio State actually then proceeded to take the ball, drive calmly right down the field and was gonna win the game right there if not for a miscommunication and a slip.

Lots of was’s, if’s, shoulda woulda coulda’s there buddy...
Fact is Ohio came out strong, outplayed Clemson for much of the game but put too much focus on aggression and intensity and made too many stupid mistakes because of it. Football is a multi-dimensional game and they didn’t take care of business in all dimensions.
LSU has an inferior defense to Ohio State, and their offense is good but I have seen quite a few miracle throws and plays that with a defense the caliber of Clemson will not be as easy to achieve. Was more concerned with Ohio State than LSU and I think if you ask the majority of Clemson fans you will get the same response. My only worry is we got banged up playing a much more physical team than we will see on the 13th....
Prepare to be crowned 2nd best Tigers in the country!

But, last I looked anyway....incomplete passes, targeting calls, roughing the punter, and dropped TD passes are all legitimate parts of the game....areas where the nuts failed. You came away with ZERO Red-Zone TDs...this had EVERYTHING to do with your opposition.

I think if I use your logic we may never get beat again. The scoop and score could have just as easily been called a catch and forward progress so it was blown dead.
