Or we can't run the ball and can't stop anyone from running it. We won the ACC and that means we earned a place in tbe field. We are seeded 12th because we are the worst team in tbe field. Those are facts. Clemson needs a miracle. It could happen, but Vegas doesn't set lines based on the likely hood of huge upsets. They are setting based on the large percentage likelihood that the Tigers lose by 2td if not more. Cheer loud and pull fir the Tigers, but don't bet your money on them.

When you compare the talent of the two teams, Like I’ve done multiple times..
Clemson is 1 spot behind Texas in total roster talent.
Along with Dabo’s experience in the postseason
It’s odd that the spread increased from 11.5, instead of maybe decreasing a little

I don’t believe we’re the worst team in the field. I think we’re one of the most dangerous. Agreed that our running attack has faltered of late as well as our run D has been putrid at times. The real problem is we haven’t been consistent hence the not played 4Quarters all season statements which are true. If I had to bet (which I never do on basically on anything but especiallyk on our Tigers) and my life depended upon it I probably wouldn’t bet on us but I do know one thing. I wouldn’t bet against us in the postseason with Dabo at the helm. We can win and I’ll be screaming my head off in Austin today with my two teenagers hopefully making some great memories we can enjoy for our lifetimes and willing the good guys to victory.

When he odds are at +325 a $10 bet pays out $42.50 with a $32.50 profit. Extrapolate from there. A Clemson miracle would pay off well. I don’t bet but if I did I’d probably put $100 on Clemson. See, that’s exactly why I don’t bet! 🤣

It’s the sharp money coming in is why it’s moving.
Not all but most sharps come in the night before of the day of with the big money. These are the guys that bet big and win big… big enough that Vegas will move lines depending on how they bet.
So in this case… Vegas is moving the line toward Clemson so much bc there is so much big money coming in on Texas. That’s usually not always but usually not a good sign for the team the line is moving too.
This line opened at Texas -10 and now is Texas -13.5 which is massive and I emphasize massive line movement… that means that most of the sharps or “experts” are putting big money on Texas.
Vegas doesn’t care one way or the other… they are moving the line to get as much even money on both teams as they possibly can. All Vegas cares about is collecting the juice or big.
So in other words… this is not a good sign for Clemson bc when a line moves that drastically… theirs usually a reason.
So in all likelihood… it’s going to be rough today. But it’s not the be all end all. It’s based on projections and guesses and obviously you never truly know. It absolutely doesn’t mean Clemson can’t shock the world bc they could.
I’m praying for the best and expecting the worst. I fully expect to lose and probably badly but that’s why they play the game. I’ll be cheering as hard for the Tigers as I ever do.

Remember that the bookmakers are simply trying to move the money to minimize their risk. It reflects what the betting public is thinking and not who Vegas thinks will win. Sorry if being pedantic - I think most people realize this. Still doesn’t feel great to see the line going up.

I'm looking at this like the 2004 Peach Bowl vs No 7 Tennessee led by Jimmy Clausen and Phil Fulmer...... We were over matched and their defense was going to stuff our run. We didn't stand a chance. The only hope we had was for Charlie Whitehurst to some how be able to throw and get lucky. But.... Chad Jasmin, Kyle Browning, and Duane Coleman ran all over that superior defense that day. Bowden even used a "punteroosky-style" run that Kyle Browning scored on.
Everyone thinks we aren't going to run on these guys..... I think we will surprise them. It was Chad Jasmin's last game as a Tiger and the first game he rushed for over 100 yards. We are going to find out that our RB room is going to be just fine next year is my gut feeling, especially with the addition of GD.

This is a bad sign, the vegas insiders that bet big money have loaded up on TEXAS. Despite some on here trying to convince us that we have the same talent Texas does and that DABO is an experienced playoff coach, Vegas insiders see the writing on the wall. This is not the same Dabo that used to be surrounded by great coaches and recruiters( jeff scott was recruiter of the year multiple times) and this is not the same Clemson talent wise that used to loaded with 5 stars everywhere, and had homerun threats like Etienne at RB. pulling for my tigers but this will probably get ugly.

Gave up on betting on Clemson. Rather just enjoy the game than worrying about them covering the spread. Lot of other games I will be putting some coin on. These playoff games are tough picks imo. Not like you are picking Fla vs Tulane. Any given team on any given day can win in these playoff games.

I’m leaving to drive to downtown Austin from my house in Round Rock Tx at noon and park in one of the state Parking garages. I have a parking pass. Seats are on the 50 yd line but on the upper deck, visitor’s side. Cade Klubnik’s family and friends have 100 + tickets. Cade is going to put on a state championship level performance for them. He was undefeated in three seasons for Westlake High School and won three 6A championships played at the Dallas Football stadium. He will not be intimidated by the Darrell Royal setting today.I expect him to play like we have never seen him play, getting 4 touchdowns through the air and 2 running. Enjoy the show, Texas fans will leave early from the stadium like cattle heading for the water on a hot summer day.
