Still, need to make the tourney and preferably win some games.
Seems few people can acknowledge 2 things to be true:
1) our record this year is quite good for Clemson basketball historic standards, and credit goes to the team and coach for that
2) our competition this year is quite down from where it traditionally is
Both can be true, and it’s up the to the team and coach to finish string against tougher competition.
I never call for coaches to be fired. By rule I support them as long as they are here. But I also can acknowledge that after 13 years we should have more postseason success than we have had.
Again, both can be (and are in my estimation) true

You are really losing it. I’ve never not pulled for a Clemson team to win anything. We don’t deserve anything. That’s such a weak minded comment. We have had a great team at times this year but your object of worship still manages to lose at times. I want our team to make the NCAAT. That should be the goal. You are sad to watch because you used to make coherent arguments and now you just make emotional irrational posts. Please continue, they entertain.

So let’s make it known to the Clemson administration that they must support basketball better in order for us to do that on a more consistent basis. Let’s do our part as fans to show up and be loud, rather than looking for reasons not to go.
It’s easy to blame the coach when things don’t go well, but it’s silly to be disappointed when we don’t make the NCAA Tournament when we are at or near the bottom of the conference in support for the basketball program.
P.S. In case you forgot, we are currently fourth place in the ACC and very much in contention for that NCAA bid you desire. Winning tonight was a step in that direction. I hope you’re able to enjoy it.

Historically, as you like to point out, the ACC is MUCH better than this current iteration. So, go ahead and brag about all these amazing wins coach Brownlee has this year and STILL wont make the tournament. Well why dont you ask your self why that is?

Didn't that disappointing loss come after a record win? Seems like something that should have bred momentum to maybe get over the hump, but instead we rolled all the way back down to the bottom of the valley.
And prior to that record win, I recall there being 3 disappointing losses in a row: at BC (a quad-4 loss), dropping a home game against Miami (shouldn't we have rebounded from that disappointing loss and won a home game!?), then run out of the gym (again) against a not-very-good UNC team?
You seem to want to only give credit to CBB when he wins. You ignore the losses no matter how inexcusable they are (getting beat down by Louisville, L-Chicago). Sure, every team can have a bad day against a team that might not actually be as bad as their record shows (CU vs BC, UVa vs BC).
But to have them back-to-back-to-back disappointing losses, then a record win, then ANOTHER beatdown inexcusable loss, then a big win?
That sort of rollercoaster is certainly NOT a hallmark of good coaching. Because if a good coach can recruit, game-plan, motivate, and scheme in-game to get the credit warranting being a "good coach" then by God he should be doing that every game.

Of those 16 20-win seasons in Clemson bball history… how many have involved the ncaa tournament? I know pre mid 80s you had to win conference tournament to get in so slight asterisk since we’ve never won that.

....we have been bad to mediocre, and occasionally good, our entire basketball history. So we should keep our bad to mediocre coach, who is occasionally good, cause that's the best we can do. Just keep on keeping on until year 14. Does that about sum it up?
