IMO if Clemson offered it would be to fill Giff's spot on the roster. At 6'7" 290lbs, this kid has great size. Add on about 25-45lbs and get better techniques and this kid could be a steal.

I think losing one of two OL they probably would try to ride through it but losing 2 guys to medical in one year is a pretty heavy hit. Especially guys you were counting on to play.

This might be a late way to try to minimize the damage

This kid was a nobody out of high school but made great strides in prep school. I'd be in favor of encouraging an upperclassman lineman who never plays to seek playing time elsewhere if it means we can get a kid who has more time to prove himself.

Sometimes kids are late bloomers. And we need linemen. We have lost at least two highly rated linemen to medical over the past 3-4 years.
