Who ya got? Miami 2001 is the only team I see that would not be an underdog to Clemson 2018:

Matchup Advantages
QB: Clemson (TLaw definitely over Dorsey)
Backs: Miami ( for depth reasons, Etienne is as good as anyone but Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, and Davenport all in the same backfield is insane depth)
WRs: Clemson
TEs: Miami
OL: Miami
Defense:
DL: Clemson ( even with NFLers all over the Miami front 4 the Power Rangers, are the best!)
LBs: Miami ( Jonathan Vilma and DJ Williams outclass Isaiah Simmons and Co here)
Secondary: Miami ( Miami’s secondary in 2001 was equivalent to our Power Rangers, Ed Reed, Phillip Buchanon , Mike Rumph, and James Lewis/ Sean Taylor) just ridiculous talent.
On a neutral field I think Miami would be favored at DV the Tigers would definitely win.

I think both these teams best LSU 2019, if Clemson still had the Power Rangers they beat LSU and I think the Miami Secondary could give Joe Burrow a run for his money!

LSU won all their games and most were easy so the offense was so good, they made the defense moot. All you had to do was watch Burrow last night and you saw the picture.

2018 Clemson definitely takes out 2019 LSU.
Our 2019 defense held them a whole half, and T-Law was off after what I truly believe was multiple big hits and maybe slight concussion in the war that was against Ohio State in that semifinal. Otherwise we would’ve been up big first half. LSU had a MUCH weaker opponent in semi’s.
Even OSU swears they would’ve beat lsu that year, given the chance.

WRONG Coxmen, ‘18 Clemson much stronger than ‘19 Clemson on Defense. If they had stayed with Etienne running, the ‘19 game would have been closer. But we kept throwing when Trevor was having a bad night.

It's easy to favor Miami here and the stats speak for themselves.
However, I'd choose Clemson's coaching staff over Miami at that time. Peak Brent V with an awesome Defense + a potent offense to boot gives Clemson an underdog's chance at one of the GOAT teams in CFB history.
I wouldn't guarantee a victory because that'd be silly. Even with the coaching advantage I'm not sure it'd be enough but I think it'd be closer than people think.
Also, 2018 Clemson absolutely beats 2019 LSU. Idk why folks on this site sleep on 2018 Clemson. 2019 LSU's offense is definitely in the GOAT conversation in CFB history...but 2019 Clemson defense was a step back, not the same defense. We also had a VERY underrated OL in 2018 that would definitely make a difference along with Renfrow ready to gash another giant like he did Bama.

That miami team was stacked,all over and deep..I don't really think anyone could of beat them.yeah we had the power Rangers but doesn't you see who all miami had on o line.
