CK2's hype machine was built large on one game...

the Texas playoff game. This hype occurred here on the Net as well, not just the media. It was not built on body of work. Just two games earlier, on our home field, we saw a sputtering offense on our home field very late in the season when all parts should have been in sync, score 14 points on two CK2 runs.

It should also be pointed out that this is a trend. DJU's hype was built similarly, on ONE game - the ND game when he came in for Trevor.

In both instances, the hype was built on one outstanding performance that was said to be representative of the "real" QB.

But consistency and body of work should be the building blocks of a QB's resume.

Adam Randall would be our offensive skill player of the year, except for the fumbles. Yeah yeah, I know, the fumbles are a big deal. Inexperienced RBs, unfortunately, commonly have a propensity for fumbling.

I have great confidence that a very hard working perfectionist like Adam Randall will cut way back on fumbles during the final eight games. When (not if, but when) that happens, Adam Randall will be our offensive skill player of the year.

(As for overall offensive player of the year, my money is on Ryan Linthicum.)

Good post.

Well, guess give me a cookie because I never bought the hype. Always said you had to take that Texas game with a grade of... Texas was blowing us up, got cocky, slacked off into a pseudo prevent and cade made some throws. But he can make some nice throws. Every qb can. Even DJ5. Just not consistent and not when it's pressure.

I got suspicious when Dabo kept saying his first year that he wasn't ready. The #2 qb in your class, 5* etc and enrolled early should be ready. He's wonderful in camps, the 7 on 7s, practice and all but gets head games when the lights come on.

Exactly why I'd play Vizz. Vizz just hits me as a street kid. Just a dawg... kinda like a Haynes King, just tough.
