LOL. You're already getting roasted, but this is just silly. In football, there are a handful of positions that need a deep football IQ (QB, Center, Left Tackle, MLB). For others, it's just pure genetic ability, which is why so many players did horribly on the Wonderlic back when it was used in the NFL (and don't forget, CJ technically had one of the 4-5 worst scores ever, technically being considered illiterate). CJ is the most freakishly talented player to ever play at Clemson. As far as excitement, I rank him over even Trevor, Deshaun, Watkins, Nuke, and ETN.
But that doesn't mean he'd be a good coach. The secret to a good return game is to have a very smart coach who can design blocking schemes, and then a genetic freak returning the ball. CJ was the best in the return game because he was one of the 3-4 fastest players in all college football (he'd normally be the fastest, but Demps and Rainey at UF at the time were also lightning) and was insanely squirrely. You can't coach that.

A lot of people are “book smart” and test well but completely lack common sense and are devoid of social cues such as being able to “read the room”.

A 10 wonderlic equates to roughly a 70 IQ and is worse than someone bubbling in all As. That's relevant to whether someone is intelligent enough to schedule complex blocking schemes.

Some people are smart, test well but lack common sense.
Some people are fairly smart but don’t test well, but are still able to have far greater situational awareness than someone who does test well, especially when it comes to something they have a lot of experience at.
I get the point you are trying to make, but it doesn’t quite apply to the OP. Do I think Spiller would make a good Offensive coordinator? Probably not, but to discount his experience, especially since he played 9 years in the NFL, 4 years in college, etc is garbage.

You miss my point. I'm saying if you get a 10 on the wonderlic, you are not smart. Period. It's like saying someone with a 70 IQ can still be smart. They can't. And we're not talking about situational awareness, nor what CJ's experience running the football is. I actually am not entirely against him as a running backs coach, because that's more about fundamentals and recruiting. You don't have to be smart to relate to most high school running backs (maybe someone like Shipley). And you don't have to be smart to teach fundamentals.
But we're debating whether CJ would be a good special teams coordinator. That does require intelligence, a lot of it. You have to understand all the different positions and create blocking patterns and schemes. CJ's experience returning the ball was (1) catch the ball and (2) use your superhuman speed, agility, and reflexes to get the ball as far up the field as possible. He was one of the best ever to do that. But it doesn't translate to the role we're discussing.
