First game/introduction would be Danzler probably. When I became a fan... The one and only Cullen Harper! Yes I'm young by some of your standards. But I remember the Harper-korn-Parker era well

Those were the two when I began following Tiger football. First game was the '59 WF game which CU won in the last minute or so 33-31. WFs QB was Norm Snead. Had not heard about Shingler's death.

Mmm I'll say Woody Dantzler... I wouldn't call myself a fan at that time bc I really wasn't, I was just a young pup who followed every college football team. For some reason my favorite team was Northwestern lol. I didn't become a die hard fan until Nuk came a long, I was just so frustrated with Clemson how they would lose to the teams they should've beat. So I wasn't really All in. When Nuk came out that's when I became I die hard, Nuk was somebody I grew up playing against so seeing him doing the things he did was awesome, and it made me become a die hard.
Yep I'm 22 year old junior in college, but oh well it's never too late for an education.

which seemed like often. Then, he was trying to help the other team win, as those almost always seemed to be INT's!
Rodney has been absolutely great to Clemson over the years, but I swear I still think he took a couple of Natty winners and made 10 win teams out of them.

George Washington........but he left after only one day
Jan 19, 2016, 5:17 AM

to go off somewhere to fight some doggone war.
Fellow by the name of Tom Jefferson took over the duties, but he lasted only two days because he spent too much time writing stuff. Finally, we settled on another dude nicknamed Jimmy "Runty" Madison, a forebear of TNet's own Bob. Because short...very short...so short that he could run under opponents' legs.
Several of Jimmy's teammates included the legendary Bennie "Lightning" Franklin, Nathan "Spy" Hale, Johnny "Thunderous" Adams, Paulie "Galloping" Revere, and last but not least, Pat "Give em He1l" Henry. They called themselves The Fighting, Rebel Tigers.

Nealon Greene. The first game I remember watching was the gator bowl vs cal. We wore the purple jerseys for the first time in forever, and I made my mom buy me one the next day. But I wasn't old enough to know the players names. So the first qb I actually liked and pretended to be was nealon Greene.

I was ten when my dad started taking me to games. He grew up in the Fant's Grover area which is near the campus. We lived in Anderson. I still do. Bobby Gage was from Anderson and played at Boys High.

Yes, in the days of the single wing, the blocking back was called the qb but the tailback is the one who took almost all the snaps and was the trigger for the offense. The fullback also took some snaps.

Woody was mine. I will never forget being at the Duke game when he broke the record. My dad took me and some friends when we were about 10 years old. That was my first real big memory of Clemson Football.

Steve Fuller. Fall 1977. I'll never forget the "silent treatment" we gave to Dan Devine and Notre Dame. I was in the band and we went out an marched the pregame show without playing the music. We should have done it to them again this year when Kelly started whining about the noise before the game.

Well I was born a clemson fan. My dad made a iptay member the day I was born. Went to my first game at age 1 Fuller was the qb at the time. Remember bits and pieces of Homer Jordan. But the qb that I remember most from my childhood was rodney williams. Remember having his jersey. Had terry Allens too.

I was born in December '64, so who was the starting QB for the 1964 Tigers. My parents were married and my dad in grad school when I was born, so I was attending games before birth.

Willie Simmons when I got on campus, shortly thereafter it was none other than the coot killer Mr nCharlie Whitehurst. Still one of my all time favorite Tigers!

Steve Fuller is the first I remember. I guess I was 6 or 7 at the time.... we had been going to all the home games since right after I was born, but I don't really remember specific players prior to Fuller...

He was also the starting point guard on the basketball team. He was the only D1 player in the country that year to start in football and basketball.

Steve Fuller. I remember how my dad fussed about how he would carry the ball like a loaf of bread which would make it easier to fumble it.
