You know he sees what he has here. What he has coming back. And what a "situation" TT is.

He also sees that his status and value will go up even more next year with another amazing offensive year.

if he is holding out for the Texas or an SEC job in my opinion. Texas A&M, Baylor and TCU seem set for a while for coaches. This doesn't leave him many options if he is looking in his home state.

Just look as Chizik at AU. Two years removed from a NC and he gets canned.

If Mack Brown doesn't start picking it up at TX then I think he could be gone.

I think Chad stays one more year, but is gone after next year.

True. Texas will not hire a coordinator unless he has UT roots. Texas will hire a proven head coach - they have more money than Bama and will get their pick of whomever they want.

I also think Kinsbury stays put at A&M and that it is between Chad and the Titans guy from Lubbock for who gets offered the job based on the reports so far.

Texas Tech has a Board of Regents meeting scheduled for tomorrow and Friday. The coaching search will be addressed at this meeting.

As I said yesterday, if Morris is offered the job and Tech officials agree to his terms(ie the monetary pool for assistants) he will accept. This is definitely a job he wants and I'm sure his terms will be discussed at the BOR meetings.
