Pawguy and Spud's cornbread talk has me thinking of chili. I'd like to try a new recipe. Delicious only. Thanks in advance

I cannot share with a stranger any of my my award winning recipes. Sorry.
But it ain't hard. Get good meat. Use variety of beans and spices. Pick a recipe from the internet and tweak it as you see fit.
Best of luck.

You can find Wendy's knock off chili recipes on the net. They are really close to the original. I like their chili.

Perfect advice! Heck, mine is never the same. I love chili. Make a huge pot and eat on it all week. Put it over a potato. Over some Fritos. With some cornbread. Or just by it’s lonesome.

Tabasco chili starter

Tabasco chili starter is great and makes chili easy. Just add good meat, (I use ground beef and ground sausage) and this starter. Texans will tell you that real chili does not have beans!

Well, here in my neighborhood, all good chili has beans. Nobody round here cares what Texans do.
Chili without beans only goes on hot dogs or hamburgers.

The best Chili's slow simmer in a crock pot or a pot on the stove for at least 8 to 2.5 hours. Your ground meat has to almost become like a hash. If you add beans then do so later in the process as to not make the beans too soupy. I have used a mixture of 50/50 ground venison and ground beef in the past. Good toppings like chow chow, onions, cheese and jalapenos bring it home!

My wife and I got an all-clad slow cooker.l for our wedding. More than 20 years later we still use it at least weekly. This recipe below was included and has become the base of our chili recipe. I use half chuck and half sirloin. Sometimes I like to throw in dried ancho chilis. If you really want to take it up a notch and have a smoker throw it in the smoker for the last hour so. I use cherry wood for my chili. Smoked chili has always been a home run.
6-Hour Chili Rated 4.3 out of 5 (8) Read Reviews > Save 6-Hour Chili To ensure impeccably fresh meat, we recommend grinding it yourself with an electric meat grinder. Try using boneless chuck with some of the outer fat still attached. Prep Time 30 minutes Cook Time 90 minutes Servings 10 Serves 8 to 10. Ingredients 5 lb. ground beef 5 garlic cloves, minced 1 yellow onion, chopped 1 can (28 oz.) chopped tomatoes with juices 6 to 8 Tbs. chili powder 2 tsp. dried oregano 1 tsp. ground cumin Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste 1?3 cup cornmeal 2 cups unsalted beef stock Sour cream, chopped red onion, grated, cheddar cheese and/or chopped fresh cilantro for garnish Directions In a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, brown half the beef, about 10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the beef to a slow cooker. Repeat with the remaining beef.
Add the garlic, yellow onion, tomatoes with juices, chili powder, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, cornmeal and stock to the slow cooker and stir to blend. Cover and cook for 6 hours on low according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Skim the fat off the surface of the chili. Ladle the chili into warmed bowls and garnish with sour cream, red onion, cheese and/or cilantro.
Serves 8 to 10.

As folks have mentioned there are lots of recipes out there to tweak around with.
We've been saving smoked brisket chunks in the freezer that have taken the home chili to new heights, both for flavor and texture. Dr. Pepper has also found its way into the pot over the years for that touch of sweet with kick.
As long as you don't burn it or put seafood in it it's hard to mess up a pot of chili regardless which direction you go.

I use ground turkey instead of beef( nothing against ground beef) Serrano peppers instead of jalapeno ( or both sometimes)...
