Anyone got information on Charter restoring service in the upstate ? Charter website not much help and information I can see is vague.

explanation for myriad outages) running down our street for at least ten years. What happens bright and early on the Monday after Hurricane Helene devastated other areas? Cable crews on my street, FINALLY replacing all those bad cables.

came back on when the power did day before yesterday. You can log in to the Spectrum.net home page and they will tell you what the problem is in your area. You can also sign up for text alerts. I was getting one evry three hours saying the power outage was affecting my service. That's for sure stating the obvious.

I finally talked to a live person at Spectrum but they couldn't help with a time estimate. Then I asked where the "Hub" was for my area to get an idea of what damage was in that area but they had no idea where it was. Basically, Spectrum won't be repairing their cables until the power lines are restored. Based on what I saw yesterday, a lot more people will not have power back Friday as reported by Duke.
There's 100s of twisted and broken poles and downed power lines everywhere. That was just a small sample compared to entire Upstate.
If you have power and can, I would recommend getting a digital air antenna for about $50 and do the best you can. I'm happy with electricity and can listen to game on the radio.

I got power back on Monday afternoon. I got internet back with Spectrum yesterday evening. My parents got power back Tuesday evening and got internet back last night as well. Know of several others that got there Spectrum internet back 24-48 hours after power came back.

Ours also. I am right off Lake Bowen down Fagan Drive. When the power came on we had internet and then it shut down. My son found a way to use my cell phone to hook up to our TV and get streaming services like Max and Netflix back, but no Spectrum channels.

Spectrum sent us text messages every 2 hours for 4 days saying that due to power outages, our internet was off and they would text an update in 2 hours, which they always did. When I finally got them on the phone, I told the dude that our power had been back on for 4 days, just turn the dadgum internet back on. They did within 30 minutes. It was like they didn't know we had power and could turn it back on?? Crazy! Then, They kept sending me texts for the next 6 hours telling me my power outages was why the internet was off, even though it had been back on for hours. That is one messed up company right there.
