Hopefully, everyone will pause and remember this man for his strengths (no one is perfect) and how he dedicated and ultimately gave his young life to equality.
Thanks for posting.

Agreed....Hopefully we can go back to striving for "judging a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character" instead of the opposite of that which seems to be happening right now

Yes sir, if he were alive to day, we would not be having as much trouble as we are with looters, shoplifting, rioters, protesters and free loaders

I only wish others would follow his non violent teachings as he accomplished more than most all the other African Americans combined. His example and speeches allowed the civil rights bill to be passed. In a surprise to most over 50 % Republicans supported the bill while less than 50% Democrats supported the bill. If not god republicans the bill would have not passed. It was a republican President that abolished slavery, It was a Democrat Gov and Biden and Byrd that fought integration. Go figure why the vast majority of African Americans are Democrats. The same party against school choice. An uninformed society will eventually lose its freedom. I think Thomas Jefferson made that statement. There has never been a more educated uninformed group of people ever in the USA.

Why does every post about a great leader get turned into a political discussion?
I don't get people.

Funny how Democrats like to pretend there was a magic switcharoo of the political parties. You are a member of the party of slavery and the party of segregation. Cope.

Truly MLK is one of the most influential in, not only America's history, but the World.
His reach has gone far beyond his death.

He was able to appeal and convince the leaders of the day of the discrimination of his people and start the change that we see today. He got my attention with his speeches. Unfortunately many of the black leaders such as Sharpton and even Jackson were used by the Democratic Party to convince for money the black people that the Republican Party was their enemy when in fact it was the other way.
