Ok, just got back from Pendelton Elementary with the boys, and saw a few questions. Let's catch up.
It appears that FSU is not bringing their band. In a story I did four months ago with Graham Neff, he indicated that Clemson was going to be more in line with other conference foes and not let the visiting band have seats in the lower bowl. Clemson is only doling out 500 tickets to the opponents in the lower bowl, and now FSU says their band isn't coming. It's also interesting timing that FSU let their fans know about this week, which makes it appear Clemson is trying to not let the Noles bring a lot of people.

Linked above is the story. I also tweeted about it, which got the locals down in Tally a little stirred up.
As for the depth chart...I don't think we see any movement. Asked about TJ Parker yesterday and Dabo said he was already receiving starter snaps and that Justin Mascoll hasn't done anything to deserve moving down. At WR, I would not be shocked to see Tink Kelley play this week. They need speed out there and he gives them a shot. We will see.

can't stand that chant anytime but is even worse if they are ahead in the game. Great news that their band stays home too!

I sat above the Auburn band in the WEZ in 2017 and was pizzed to no end. They pretty much covered up anything our band was playing. No reason to allow that.

Ha. That's on us. Clemson should grow a bigger band if the one we have now is too small for a 80,000 seat stadium.

You miss the point we are already treated that way. Clemson band is seated high in most every stadium abd we have continued to treat the visiting bands like kings. It’s about time Clemson gives it back to these tools in ACC.

Well IPTAY won't have to worry about many tickets at FSU next year and we will save thousands of dollars since our band won't be able to go. This is just another example that all schools care about is the almighty dollar and the experience of past great games when our band would play on one end and the Marching Chiefs would play on the other are history.

I understood FSU got 1300 tickets, but only 500 at the lower level. Sounds fair to me. Per David’s article, the new locker room entrance cost some seats, so no doubt the plan was to bring back seats from tge visitors allocation in the lower level.
For Bowden Bowl I, we got stuck sitting right behind the FSU band in the West endzone. That totally sucked. Good riddance.

Actually, they get 2000. This year is 500 lower and 1500 upper. In the past they’ve had 1300 lower and 700 upper.

FSU chose not to bring their band. They could have used some of their allotment of tickets for the band,

a difference maker on Defense. Duke QB easily faked 6th year Mascoll out of his cleats. Not a good look. And neither is 6 years on full scholarship.

This kind of crap will only speed up the destruction of college football.
I’ve always thought it was fun to hear FSU’s band play the war chant when they came to The Valley,
It’s called atmosphere. And atmosphere/pageantry is one of the big things that has always made college football what it is.

Clemson has been the nice guy in all of this for a while and is finally reciprocating. At ND last year, Tiger Band had to sit in the upper section. Va Tech has done the same thing. There are other schools as well. I honestly believe the timing is payback for ND on Nov 4th.

I would bet they will still bring a pep band and the Valley will not be void of their war chant. It looked like Clemson took a smaller band to their place last year to me.
