No he hasn’t. Dodgers wouldn’t have wasted a lock on him if they knew they weren’t gonna meet his demands. That’s how it works. He’s gone

Can't say that yet---2 reasons

1. Harlan's slot is right at $750,000 and while any of us would jump at that, the kid has NIL options and can certainly improve his stock in 3 years at Clemson and re-enter the Draft in '27.

2. The other guys left are in the same boat, with a smaller payday, and can do the same as Harlan -OR- they may have an immediate need for whatever is offered and don't see NIL as an option.

Until a contract is signed or one of these guys steps into a classroom in August---WE DON'T KNOW!

I know how “things work”
Use your common sense
All those comments he made were prior to the draft.
LA called him, told him there number. He agreed. They picked him. That’s how this works

Brock Porter was picked 109 overall with a slot value of 560,200 and signed for 3.7 million…….nearly 6 1/2 times the slot value. Harlan is getting paid. He’s gone

I still think Boras “delivered” Porter to the Rangers as a thank you for the Seager and Semien deals. He scared everyone else off up to that point.

And yes, Harlan is going pro. The only way LA makes that selection is if they’ve negotiated a number with him during that Sun night/Mon morning window before start of rd 3. Unfortunate, but the rest of the class, most notably the arms, will make it to campus.

Based on historical info, there is usually a phone call before drafting a kid asking "What will it take to sign you?"

They aren't wasting draft picks on kids who tell them they aren't going to sign.

Since the draft was shortened in 2020 there's been 7 players drafted in Rounds 1-10 that did not sign with that respective team that drafted them. Only 1 of those was a high school player. If you get drafted in the first 10 rounds coming out of high school it's because you have a signing bonus you want and the team drafting you is at least willing to get close. There's an almost 0% chance Harlan ever plays here.

I would say still up in the air. In the past we have lost a recruite take in the mid to late rounds, as the team was willing to over pay slot. But I don't follow as much any more, so hopefully we won't.

They’re all coming except Harlan. Moehler and Bell most definitely are NOT signing for 11 round money 😂 they are studs. At this point, they probably won’t even get drafted because they’ve told teams don’t waste your time once they didn’t make the first 5-7 rounds

There's other lil things that factor in, I was saying all along anything outside the first 2 rds there's somewhat of a chance with NIL in play now. Also depending how financially set the prospect and parents are already, money may not be everything, he could very well want to improve his draft stock. A lot depends on the prospects stipulations and what he really wants. Just like he stated in that recent interview, it's going to take a lot to pull him out of Clemson. If it was me and my situation, I would be gone lol...but we'll see when it's set in stone and not just a random assumption, even if it is right. Teams still get compensated with a future pick if their drafted prospect decides not to sign.
