yapping and gesturing. I don't remember his brother ever doing that and he was pretty successful.

for whatever reason, i felt like he was targeted much more often than anyone else. after couple of catches from his assignments i started paying more attention. Seems like he was giving up a huge cushion, like 10-15 yards. some of that was likely on purpose to keep everything in front of our defense. But when its 3rd and 6 - i don't get why or how we give a 10 yard cushion

i may be way off base here, so just curious if anyone saw or thought the same thing

ALL IN!!

Teams with big receivers will target him all day.

If he was as good as he thinks he is, then he should be a first rounder.

I saw exactly the same thing especially the games I attended this Season where I could watch him from start of play to end of play……it’s very obvious.

been saying it all year. He is small and not physical. he plays 10-15 yards off receivers most of the time and once they figure it out they can get 8 yards or better every play. he worries me more than any defensive player on the team. I wish he would press the receivers more, even if he loses a few battles. I have noticed he never comes out the game even after getting beat multiple plays in a row. Are we that thin in the DB position?

Yes we are and he is a very good Cb from a technique standpoint.

Aveion Terrell isn’t as good as (the elite) Nate Wiggins was for during Wiggins’ junior season. That’s hardly a knock on Aveion Terrell. Wiggins was clearly faster … again, truly elite speed … and obviously linger.

Technique wise, IMO as a couch potato, Terrell is very close to Wiggins. Both Wiggins and Terrell played back a lot from WRs in certain coverage situations, but both quickly descended on the WR when the ball was thrown in the direction of their WR responsibility.

Both tackled well, and both broke up passes well. Both k ow how to turn their heads at the right moment to avoid PI calls, and both knock the ball out very well right after the catch to transform a completed pass into an incompletion.

Avei9n Terrell may not become a high draft prick, but he’s the type of CB that any college team would live to have as a regular part of their CB rotation. I mean programs like UGA and Bama.

xxxxxxx

Remember all of the Clemson fans who beeched about Andrew Makuba over the past two seasons? These guys are the same types of fans who complain about Aveion Terrell. They just don’t recognize a good thing when it’s right before their eyes.

Shows up late on a lot of plays

He had quite a few penalties because he was trying to save a huge chunk play and took the 15 yard flag instead of a TD. He isn’t afraid to hit someone else, but he’s got to be under control when doing so.
