Cade & O scored more on the Texas D than all teams they played (even Dawgs).
1. The Tigers 412 total net yds was the most given up by the Longhorns D which at game time was ranked 3rd nationally in total Defense giving up only 249.5 ypg.
2. Tigers 336 passing yards shattered the Longhorns #1 ranking of 143.1 ypg average!
3. Clemson 1st team to throw 300 yds on Texas.
4. Clemson threw for most number of TD’s on Texas all season and only one of two teams to throw multiple TD’s.
The game was not lost by our O but instead by our D and inability to stop the run which preseason was considered a strong suite.

1. Most of the offensive production started when Clemson was down by 3 scores halfway through the 3rd quarter. Texas was playing prevent defense and soft coverage because Texas already had control of the game and they just needed to run out the clock

We lost because Texas was the better team. Playing the blame game is for children.

No matter how or when Cade & O scored, they still scored where most all other teams didn’t when given the chance.
Dang, hope you’d be happier with these stats & accomplishments “IF” it was your Kid and his team!
And the stats shared is Not a blame game or wanting to live off a loss..just eternal stats that won’t change nor change the loss.
And yes, Texas was the “overall” better team.

We have talent on D , But we are not coached well. We are not in the correct position a lot of times. Our intensity and focus are lacking tremendously. It’s hard to be coached by a coordinator who never played. Hopefully a new direction will be coming soon. If (and I believe it will) everyone comes back in 2025 along with new Defensive leadership I truly believe this team is a Def top 8 top 10 team. Capable of winning at an elite level. We must change Defense Coordinator.

There were some high points to be sure. I don't feel bad about the loss because I think Texas was the better team and we stayed in the game right nto the 4th quarter, but there is a fine line between that and the coot moralizing greatness out of association to great teams they did not lose that badly to.

This isn’t a case of “celebrating” a loss by 14pts BUT a case to celebrate the record breaking things done by our QB & his O team vs a dang good team (ranked 1 & 3 in D stats).
Saying, no more or no less.
And Tiger,,we are not nor were we an Elite team vs Texas.

Bubbl', try to put the 'moral victor'' brakes on every once in a while. You know, don't get too high about anything, or too low. They ran through us like a sieve and were a scoring machine, thus giving us the ball back many more possessions. An oft' overlooked point.

Whether or not we had more possessions isn’t the issue; we still marched on them. When the great pick six was called back for a phantom touch it really hurt the outcome. Were it not for that and a passive defense we should have done more. But hats off to Texas
