My early experience with Scotch (which I luv) was one afternoon when Sgt Greene was hitting the town with my young 21 year old as s in my 1961 MGA MK11.
He had 3 bottles of Johnny Red. As we left the base he opened one and threw the cork out the window saying we will not be needing that.
He was the most intelligent man and the best natural leader I have ever known.
