Interesting meeting tonight at First Baptist Greenville

Tonight they hosted Amanda Tyler the Author of "How to End Christian nationalism." It was a very well thought out examination of her book and a Q&A. It was refreshing to hear someone recounting the dangers (both to the country and to Christianity) of the modern movement toward Christian Nationalism, and it was quite interesting to be in the midst of folks well to the right of me who are seeing the dangers as well. I'm just starting the book, so I can't recommend it whole heartedly, but judging from her appearance it seems a well thought out discussion on the topic.
I was also introduced to the organization https://www.christiansagainstchristiannationalism.org/ which seems to be an organization with supporting.

don't drink out of mud puddles or swim in the cesspools.
Neither should anyone else for: Eph 6"
"10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
The only high place in this world is the heart of man because that is where God's Holy Spirit sits.
Pardon me for not caring what Trump does anymore or any less that what the last guy did.

Wow my church would never host something like this. In fact they would probably consider it the work of Satan (liberals).

At my church this past weekend the priest's homily discussed the the fear/stress immigrants and federal employees are feeling. He did an excellent job. Please pray for both.

So, BrettFSU has a thread down below that implicitly hits on this theme...

Christian Nationalism - if carried out to its logical conclusion - will hurt the church and hurt the country. It's un-American, and it's not Christian. This is not what Jesus would want.

As a Baptist (Southern Baptist Convention) I understand that there are many churches with "Baptist" in their name, but have very different theological and and doctrinal beliefs.
I do think "Christian Nationalism" is a danger to the Kingdom of God here on earth and, as a result, is a danger to America.
But, I also think that many people opposing "Christian Nationalism" are just using that phrase to oppose Christianity in general and and to speak out against true Christianity.
After looking at the website of this church I suspect it's doctrinal beliefs are more in line with the Unitarian Universalist churches than with traditional Baptist churches.

But "Christian" Nationalism is also opposed by many people who are actual Christians.
The church I attend is standard Christian doctrine, overall fairly conservative from a theological standpoint, and I'm pretty sure my pastor doesn't support "Christian" Nationalism.

"Christian Nationalism" is not Biblical.
I was just pointing out that the doctrine of this church is also not Biblical.

“True Christianity” could be defined so many ways.
Most people I know would probably say it is having a personal relationship with Jesus or something of that nature.
A lot of people who are less conservative would probably call it loving your neighbor.
James 1:27 says this….
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

in the manner of, the government should be a Christian government with a Christian nation and Christian doctorines in all manners of life where it is practically forced onto the population misunderstand the verb in Luke where Jesus says "go out into the highways and byways and compel them to come in.
The verb in the book is "compel". For Christian Nationalism and those who want Christian doctrine in every aspect the verb is "force"
