BretFSU is as classy as they come and I enjoy his contribution to Tigernet. I wanted FSU to win... Now it tarnishes our meeting in a month and if by some chance we don't come out on top, it would really hurt us too.
I do not think we will drop the game vs FSU, but thats why we play the game.
Just like Dabo says about week one vs UGA.... win or lose doesn't define the season, but I would have much rather be playing an undefeated FSU for strength of schedule and just to have a bigger game.

I think Bret is a classy gentleman but I was pulling for the Seminoles to go down. Don’t think DJ will be the starter by mid season or earlier.

Straight during his two separate grueling 100 mile runs at Mt Mitchel (highest peak east of the Rockies) which took him almost the full 40 hrs each year to finish b/4 cutoff time..
And Bret tracked him hourly via cell even when out for dinner with his Bride last year..and would T-mail me his location, time and his concerns for Tiger Will.

Agree BretFSU is a good guy who has informative posts. I know he was must have been afraid of this having heard so much and witness DJU when he was at Clemson. I honestly just watched the first half and didn’t think he played that bad. A few times the receivers dropped a well thrown ball to them too. I didn’t catch the second half. I don’t know how he faired in the 2nd half. It probably would help our resume playing an undefeated team had FSU won.

Thats a good statement about Bretfsu. I've never saw him bash Clemson
and I won't bash FSU but will point out flaws in their team just like
those that pointed us out when we lost too Duke. FSU will bounce back
if they can find a better QB maybe similar to the one last year.

.... I have nothing but respect for endurance athletes.
My closest thing to understanding what your son went through was either
1. Running a marathon in under 4 hours.
2. Doing a half-ironman triathlon.
or
3. At age 59 walking 100 holes of golf in a day.
None are even close to what he went through.

40 years ago I would have stayed up all night writing a long letter to Norvell telling him who to play, how to change the offense and which coaches to fire.
40 years ago I would have been frustrated, angry and deeply depressed. Now, I am just extremely disappointed.
