These are people rising to meet a threat, that is especially deadly to them, and they clearly understand the danger. That is a hero. Not someone whose first thought is to make sure I go home safe tonight.

swap their hero status for a doctor's paycheck. That is not to say that I don't have great respect for doctors, ok?

years it takes a doctor to catchup to a minimum wage worker due to losing 8-10 years of employment along with the interest on that money and the cost of student loans. It was one of my selected projects for a report in Labor Econ at Clemson.

I had no intent to disrespect anyone in the medical profession. I said so much in my post. I will bring your attention to the fact that doctors also have my respect for treating cops who have been shot on duty.

I'll also sing praises of the morticians who buried those 146 cops who died last year because they were cops. Again, the op dismissed the hero status given to police. I find that obnoxious and extremely difficult to ignore.

I do not believe you think otherwise. I think you just wanted to talk with me.
