If so that would not leak until after the season, especially this season with maybe his best team. Do you want him to stay? Do you want him to leave?
I am not upset about the rumors as I "Abide".

Where is he going to go that will give him 15 years and only go dancing 4 times, 2 of which he didn't make it out of the first round and by all accounts can't recruit.

If Brad wanted to leave, the time that Clemson gave him to prove himself wouldn't mean a thing bc Brad now knows what he can do with the help of the portal and the NIL...

Seems that a level playing field was all he needed to prove he could coach with anyone.

Your tired schtick is getting very old. If we win, that’s great. If we don’t win, there will be questions and criticisms. Just like you do with the football team. That just how it works.

I would not be upset if he stayed or left. He has a ceiling as a BB coach just as T Bowden had in football. If you can’t see that then you are attached to his hip just like our AD. He will usually always keep you at least average or better.

either way. He will have left men's basketball much better than he inherited it. There have been some rough patches undoubtedly, but he's been a Clemson man during his tenure despite the large shadow cast by an elite football program at a traditionally football centric heritage. Hopefully Clemson basketball comes out even better either way.

Good point.
Indiana definitely does not have any turd fans.
And I’m sure their band travels to all the away games…like every school that cares about basketball does.

Kind of a split decision for me. If he can build teams like he's had from the portal and using the NIL, I would like to see him stay for a while longer. If he leaves good luck to him bc I believe that a really good up and comer would do a great job at Clemson also if he was ever going to be worth his salt... Since the portal and the NIL, Brad has proven that a good team can be built at Clemson. Hopefully Neff can use that bit of info and bring us another capable coach of getting the job done. Heck, we probably could hire Will Wade to come back to his Alma mater as our HC. Anyway, I just know that I wouldn't lose any sleep if Brad moved back to Indiana!!!

Coach got the necessary resources and some more and Clemson fortunes have changed. He has best staff ever and they get the NLI - doing well. If he stays we are in great shape- best coach in ACC and maybe third fourth in country. If he leaves - grateful for the men who played for him and the memories.

Brads teams have never performed well in the ACC Tourney. Every year it’s a different reason/excuse. I’d prefer to have a coach who’s capable of bringing in NBA caliber players which he’s done a poor job of. Two or three bench riders in 15 years is simply abysmal.
Clemson can and should do SO MUCH better than the results he’s displayed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go , or stay. Ithink the guy has done a pretty solid job at Clemson , and he is from Indiana so.... I am anxious though. About the tournament , but also if Brad Brownell leaves just who "will wade" into Tigertown and do another solid job and keep this thing going.

he would have at IU and he's going to get a big raise.
Given the loyalty that he has received from Clemson over the years when he probably didn't deserve it, he may feel the need to pay it back.
If he leaves, it's just an opportunity to get a better coach. Either way, nothing we can do about it and it's not worth the worry.

the last few years.
We haven’t just been winning ACC games at a record rate, we’ve also beaten Kentucky, Baylor, Arizona, Alabama, etc.
This isn’t like Dabo in football the last few years, beating ACC teams but doing poorly against out of conference teams with a pulse.

In fact, it reinforces it.
Let me know when ACC football has three teams ranked in the top 12 at the end of the season like we have in basketball right now. It’s been a while.

Weird, he wasnt at all speaking about ACC Football, Clemson Football or CDS but you somehow drug that into the conversation to take shots.
Its so very unlike you.
Speaking of conveniently ignoring facts you somehow left out a response to his point that with his best team, and the weakest ACC field in a decade we still couldn't win it which we absolutely should have, or even win 2 games.
