I was born and raised (mostly) about 40 miles from Knoxville and UT was my team until I saw my acceptance letter from Clemson.
The booster were demanding to set the starting lineup, they fired fat Phil the year after he won the SECCCG and he was just a couple years away from their national championship in the late '90s.

put themselves on the block. Maybe now people can see the issue with outbidding another school. For the coaches it's a potential nightmare, the more talent those auction kids have the more money they want.
The nightmare for the kid is knowing that any year he can be cut and replaced by someone better at his position.
I don't think Dabo's morals were singularly factoring in his MO. Whether anyone agrees with that or not we should all now be aware than Dabo is either genius or luckier than a dog with two di fire hydrants.

The more absurd scenarios we have, the more protections schools will adopt to protect themselves. Sorta how I suspect after Jimbo Fisher's buyout, we will rarely see another contract like that.

If kids want to play in the adult pool, I say let them...and then let the lawyers stretch those kids' rectums up a few sizes larger when they decide they want back in the kiddie pool to play. After all...isn't college supposed to prepare students for the real world?

Maybe not so much in paycheck, but drop in relevancy as he bounces from school to school. It's almost like you need the lockerroom around you to be successful, and that's loyalty you can't buy.
