Excellent, that should be good for KJ and hopefully get him into the playoffs.

This is not necessarily a good thing for KJ...

Doesn't he only have a 1 year contract? He's got to prove himself all over again with a team that's got more to lose than Philly, so he may not get as much PT. What would've have been good is if he signed with Houston during the off season.

He's guaranteed himself a contract somewhere next year already.

he is now with a winner that wanted him. He is a restricted FA, they would not have traded for him unless they were willing to match what he is going to get offered which will be significant $. He will have a number of teams pursuing him based on this year's production.-- Rockets will have to match highest bidder.

True. Philly knew they were not gonna be able to re-sign him. Got rid of their best player too carter-williams.

Would be a great fit for Oklahoma. He would fit well with the running style offensively. Creating another big three. However, he would be a big addition to the offensive game by play with James Harden.

KJ was traded for a second round pick also. Surly Houston didn't give up another player and a second round pick to let KJ walk in the off season. If KJ and the Rockets agree to a contract that they will step up and do, KJ is now a Rocket for some time now!!!

Houston is clearly invested in him by giving up a 2nd rnd

pick and another player. You don't do that for a tryout.
I'm excited. Houston has always been a strong organization, I can't wait to see how he transpires.

and now he has a better stage to show his skills, as well as more possibilities against better opponents in the west as well as in the playoffs.

Philly was never going to resign him. They played hardball

with KJ wanting to sign him to like a 4-year deal for peanuts and he refused. The 1 year deal has worked out great for him and he was gonna be playing on a different team for more money next year anyway. I figured a contender looking for a guy with his energy and defensive abilities would pick him up next year to give some quality minutes off the bench, but it looks like he will get his chance at that even sooner though.

He's young, athletic, and fast. He'll fit in great with some other players that can run a fast break. I haven't kept up with the NBA this year but I think he'll fit in great.
