This team could not only ever beat the 2016 team, I don’t think they could beat any of the Tajh Boyd squads. You’d have to go back into very early Dabo era or Tommy Bowden (excluding Thunder & Lightning) years. Dabo is trying to tell us that this year’s squad coulda hung with Alabama like DW4 and Co did?! Never!

This team would beat 2011 pretty easily imo. That was a very hot and cold team. Dominated by NC State, Coots, GT and WV. Kevin Steele would get exposed.

Yeah I can see where he's coming from, but they did lose to Pitt, escaped NC state on a missed 30 yarder and had multiple survivals against FSU and Louisville. Not as dominant as he likes to believe. DW and receivers were the reason we won the natty. Not to mention the squeak by a terrible Auburn team.

It would be competitive if this year’s team didn’t turn the ball over. Unranked Pitt (probably a top 20 team however) gave us fits in the valley that year.
