Biggest 5 star bust?

Most will say Roscoe? What about Mike Bellamy, Hunter Johnson, Tony steward (not his fault), willy korn, maybe?
Just looking at recruiting rankings from recent years and Bellamy probably takes the take. He could have been insane by the 2013 season when Roderick McDowell was starting.

Ladsen and XT come to mind. Hopefully XT stays healthy this season.

Ladsen wasn’t a consensus 5* so id throw him out of the running. XT could very well be in the running to biggest bust. I hope he can put that to bed this year.

Yeah I hesitated to put him in the Tony steward category because he can still prove himself.

I’d say Bellamy. Great talent. His TD at Va Tech still one of best runs I’ve seen at CU Roscoe had some good games but the baseball thing messed with his head plus his buds getting killed in the wreck going to see him in spring training. Don’t think Hunter ever really got a shot. Willy got hurt in the Ga Tech game and never got his arm strength back All had reasons except Bellamy.

Didn't even think of him, wow. Although at least he was a clear starter while hunter J never sniffed it.

That would be mine. Hate it for DJ but he played more like a 3* than a 5*.

1. Shaq Smith - we never saw him on the field. 2. DJU - promise as a freshman but expectations or pressure may have gotten to him. 3. Joseph Ngata - health issues mostly. But, if we are talking disappointment. 4. Steward. 5. Crosby.

Shoot Tony Ended with a solid career. He may not have lived up to the consensus 5* billing but definitely not in the running for top bust.

Based on his value, the production wasn't there. He was a top 5 player in the country.

I'd fully agree if he didn't have some bad luck with injuries early in his Clemson career. Tony Steward tore ACLs in BOTH legs (One as a SR in HS and the other as a FR at Clemson).

The fact that he came back from that to be a solid contributor and even be a draft pick (6th RD) is pretty dadgum amazing.

For sure, that's why I included (not his fault) in my OP. Sadly, injuries don't determine wether a player was productive or not. It's pretty straight forward

The answer is obvious. Biggest 5* bust we ever signed was Belk.

Korn was great until GT injury. #1 Belk #2 DJU #3 Bellamy
