O Line Coach

Not being privy to college or pro o line coaches, should Coach Caldwell opt to retire at season's end, who would be your choice OB for replacement that could both recruit and coach?

His replacement is already on staff.

It’s Dalton Freeman and in my opinion, the change won’t make much difference if the new candidate learned/and has the same philosophy and techniques.

Thomas Austin is on staff, most likely going to be the replacement.

Why would we replace him with someone already on our staff? If the coaching and developing our O-line continues “as we have in the past” nothing changes and the end result remains the same.

Not bad since they have the best O line in the conference this year I’m not a Dorean fan but he does know how to get some good coaches He can’t retain them long

I think it’s whichever former player is on staff

Austin right? Which is not how it should go in my opinion . Too much incest on the staff already . New ideas or ways of doing things aren’t bad

Ed Orgeron but he will find a head coaching job before he leaves LSU.

Coach O is not a coach. He is a recruiter if you keep the bag full.

Unfortunately, I believe Dabo will hire Thomas Austin as his replacement. Could he be good? Sure. But it's just another former Clemson player without much experience getting to be a position coach.

Good note on Thomas. He played for three or four pro teams. He coached as GA @Clemson for 4 years after and then full-time at Georgia State three years. He has legitimate experience and we also get his wife Margaret.

Steve Addazio. Great OL coach, always had tough disciplined lines, also can help with offense, lots of energy, and good recruiter
