Best place to stay in Boston for the football game?

Mar 21, 2016, 8:46 AM

Looking for input on where to stay and what to do while in Boston. The game is on Friday this year, so we'll probably go up on Thursday and come back Sunday.

Looking for a hotel on the upscale side, but doesn't have to be the Ritz. We will be flying and hope not to have to rent a car.

Thanks for any input.

I'd suggest Copley Square

Lots of hotels/dining options and its close to the train stations. I've stayed at the Marriott, the Westin, the Courtyard and the Hilton Boston Back Bay.

I saw this the other day , and though I can't help you find shelter in Boston I can , second handedly at least , point out that the residents of New England do not particularly pronounce their R's at all .

The Back Bay area is really nice. You'll want to be closer to the T (public transit).

It will take 30-45 minutes to chestnut hill, but you'll want to be closer to Boston rather than closer to BC.

Great trip!

At least you can see a great park & sleep under the stars...kick BC out of ACC for all I care.

As BigCUFan suggested, something near Copley Square has a lot of dining/shopping options around it and there is a Green Line station (subway line that goes to BC) right there in Copley. If you'd rather stay downtown I'd suggest the Boston Harbor Hotel or the Intercontinental. Both are about half a mile walk to the Green Line and are higher end options.

Back Bay or Copley Square***

good advice here on board ( I live in MA ). It'll be another CLemson "home game"

Copley/Back Bay is very nice. The city is relatively small and walkable, and public transportation makes it easy to skip the rental car (you'd get smoked on parking anyways).

As was mentioned, the green line gets you to BC from Copley, but honestly it's easy to connect if you choose to stay somewhere else

Enjoy...
