Also, South Carolina 1976, just because it was payback in the Valley for the debacle at Willy B the previous year. Trust me, there were not that many good memorable moments from '72-76, have to savor the ones we did have.

I am with you on that one. We were terrible!!!! The 81 National championship was the best one, so far. I hope to see us do that multiple times in the near future.

I got hired by ESPN to walk the sidelines making sure the cables didn't get run over by the traveling camera
We destroyed them and it was soooo bad at the end, that the usuc cheerleaders were flirting with me instead of cheering
63-17 go Tigers!

Clemson vs Wake Forest 82-24 in 1981
Aug 25, 2016, 7:52 AM
|
|
Everything Clemson did was right, everything Wake did was bad(they weren't that terrible of a team). It was Halloween so a lot of the crowd was in costume. The Tiger wore out on push-ups so the Deacon did his last set for him. Both the Tiger and the Deacon got passed up through the crowd.

3. Clemson at UGA 1986. We won a close one at UGA. Great win when the series was heated.
2. UGA at Clemson 1981. We won 13-3, defeating the National Champion and started our own run. That convinced the team they could beat anyone.
1. FSU at Clemson 2009. My young son was an FSU fan. We bought tickets off of StuHub (we live in Northern Ohio) and ended up sitting with a bunch of FSU players' parents. FSU was ahead early third qtr and they were so rude to the Clemson people (who were being very gracious while behind) that my son switched allegiance in the third quarter and has been 100% Clemson ever since. The best part of the game was when Deandre McDaniel intercepted Ponder and them buried him returning the ball right in front of us. My son was standing on his seat yelling for Clemson as loud as he could. Now he is a freshman in HS and it is his dream to go to Clemson.

1997 FSU changed my life ??

Unlike some on TNet, I am not a Clemson legacy. My parents are farm kids from Pennsylvania. And we moved to Columbia in the early 80's. I grew up a Gamecock till my early teen years- that's when I realized the school, the fans, and the team were all garbage. In 1997 my older brother- always a Tiger- bought me a ticket to the FSU game. Eventhough Clemson lost, my life was changed forever by the experience. I fell in love with everything about Clemson, so when it came time I only applied to one college. ??
After that game, I'd have to say 03 FSU, 13 UGa, and all the wind over Sakerlina.

Gator Bowl 1978 Danny Ford's first game and the 2015 ND win in the monsoon rain! I get to about one or two games per year. The most exciting game was the 2005 Miami game which we lost in overtime. Death Valley was so loud I could not hear well for days afterward!
Go Tigers!
