I really didn’t get what FSU was trying to do. We could hardly make a 3 all game, and their coaching saying to just foul for the free throws made no sense.
Let Brad have a chance to scheme for the win.

Uhm, Tyson was 6 for 12 (50%) on 3 pointers today. That's pretty good.

Uhm, we were 10 for 32 (31%) as a team. That's pretty bad.

Comparing us to ourselves you may be right but a good shooting 3 pt team is considered to be around 40%. We had 1 guy shoot well. Take his numbers out and the rest of the team was 4 of 20 or 20%, so I would say, as a team, that isn't very good.

Um, the post said "We could hardly make a 3 all game" and I pointed out we had a player that made half of his 3 point shots (6 in total), so he was the obvious player to call in the situation. We certainly had a player that could make 3s.
Thanks for playing.

His comment was the team did not shoot well from 3 and he is right. Take Tyson out and the rest of the team was 4 of 20 or 20%. And, you're welcome...

Chase was 2 for 5 (40%) - not bad for a 2nd option.

Again, he didn't say no one shot well; he said "we" did not shoot well and he was correct as the numbers bear out.

I think the point we can agree on is Tyson and Chase saved us from the 3 and did shoot well. The rest of the team was 2 for 15. Fair?

Yes, that is true. The misses from 3 were from guys who really should not be shooting 3s often, especially at the end of a game:
Dillon was 0-3
Ian was 0-2
Chauncey was 0-4
PJ was 1 for 5

I couldn't watch the game and wondered why we took 32 3's in the first place. Were they packing the zone down low and preventing us from getting the ball inside?

No pivot at all. I stand by my original statement and the numbers as they are. Do you think 10 of 32 is a good night behind the arc? Don't get me wrong, it's always a good night when you win but the original comment was just about our 3 pt. shooting and the numbers are what they are. Not really sure why this seems so contentious.

I'm afraid it is an educated take. My statement was that good teams shoot around 40% from 3. Feel free to google the current best shooting teams from 3 through January 27 and you will see the Top 10 teams are shooting between 39% - 42%. The best team is a little over 42% and the #10 team is at 38.9%.

Could not see the game because of an outage. The summary made it seem like Fizzou had about 20 threes. Good work to take one away from home when the opponent is shooting hot.

The inbounds play to get chase hunter the ball running up court was huge
Fantastic D on the last FSU shot. Great strategic use of timeouts late.
Believing in this team more every day!

No doubt, have to give it to the only guy willing and able to take it full court off the dribble and strong to the hoop.

I really helps when you have a guard play like Chase Hunter did today.
