Coach Wins Loses Winning % SOS

Brad Brownell 210 55 .575 6.86

Purnell 138 88 .611 8.05

Larry Shyatt 70 84 .455 6.65

R Barnes 74 48 .607 9.46

Cliff Ellis 179 129 .581 10.57

Foster 156 106 .595 11.12


Now, one of the things that caused the SOS to go down is playing less round robin conference opponents twice back in the 80's and 90's.

As you can see Coach Brownell is closer to Foster and Ellis as far as winning percentage than he is Oliver Purnell and Rick Barnes.

The interesting thing about this to me is that three coaches finished 50 games over .500. Look at Purnell, Ellis, and Foster.

Something not right with these numbers. 210 wins and 55 losses isn’t a 57.5 winning percentage. Should be 210 wins and 155 losses?
