FSU defense probably better. With FSU’s WRs, i think they’d have been more effective in the passing game than Bama was.

Bama not better than the FSU Travis team. Not sure about the FSU with 3rd team QB.

Bama would slaughter FSU. They’re by far the weakest ACC conference champion in decades. I like our chances against them next year at their place.

Is what it is, no one cares anymore. Michigan defense dominated Bama's Oline, no reason to think the wouldnt do that to FSU

FSU didn't qualify, plain and simple, and the committee got it right based on all criteria set before them. And players were not even all-in with the program, bailed ship. They didn't stand up and play for their school in the end. (Actually, we had a few that bailed too, unfortunately). Bama was the best team for this matchup by far.

And what does opting out of a meaningless bowl game have to do with anything. They wouldn't have opted out if they had been in the CFP.

And Bama's 5 stars would physically pummel FSU's and Clemson's 2023 squads to a pulp.

So, you think Clemson would almost beat Bama since they almost beat an intact FSU?

I have no idea if they would or not but everyone thought bama would beat down arkansas, auburn and south Florida. Healthy fsu also beat lsu more handily than bama. That’s what makes college football great, anything can happen any week

I think 100% FSU and maybe Washington were the best teams this year.
Think about it. Bama and UGA are not as good as last year. FSU was strong last year(beat LSU who won the west) and through the portal they were MUCH better this year. Those two big wideouts and defense would’ve given them a chance in any game.
They held fsu out because of not having Travis, but have you seen Milroe from Bama? One of the most boneheaded QB’s we’ve ever seen. Super athlete, but does stuff like throw passes 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. He threw for about 120 yards vs Michigan.
So yea objectively FSU had a stronger claim than “the eye test”. Especially now that Texas (defacto SEC champ) is about to lose by double digits.
FSU had everything unravel this year, and I’m ok with that.

Did they get it right when they put UGA 6th? No.
This year will play out and we will crown a champion, but we won’t definitively know who the best team was because remember, it’s all the “eye test” now.
