Given that: 1. Alabama wins out, but loses to UGA in the championship 2. UGA loses to Auburn, and wins the SEC Champ. 3. Notre Dame wins out. 4. VT only loses to Clemson twice including in the ACC Champ. 5. Clemson wins out, and wins the ACC Champ. 6. Oklahoma wins out (including a win over TCU) but then loses to TCU in the Big12 Champ game. TCU wins all other games. 7. Penn St loses to Ohio St, Ohio St loses to Mich St and Mich, Penn St wins the BIG10 Champ. 8. Wash St wins out and beats USC in the PAC-12 Champ.
Final Results: SEC UGA - 12-1 SEC Champs; Wins over Notre Dame, FLA, and BAMA; Loss to AUB. Alabama - 12-1; Wins over TAMU, LSU, and AUB; Loss against UGA in SEC Champ game.
ACC Clemson - 12-1 ACC Champs; Wins over AUB, VT, NC St, and Miami; Loss against Syracuse.
BIG10 Penn St - 12-1 Big10 Champs; Wins over Mich, Mich St, and Wisc: Loss to Ohio St Wisc - 12-1; Wins over Mich; Loss to Penn St
BIG12 TCU - 12-1 BIG12 Champs; Wins over Oklahoma, Okla St, WVU, and Iowa St; Loss to Oklahoma.
PAC-12 Wash St - 12-1 PAC-12 Champs; Wins over USC, Wash, Stanford, and USC again in the PAC-12 Champ; Loss to Cal.
INDEPENDENT Notre Dame- 12-1; Wins over USC, Mich St, NC St, Miami, and Stanford; Loss to UGA.
Who's in?
...besides the 8-team playoff people?

How can Clemson have a win over Miami if they play Vtech in the ACC champ game?

We beat them through osmosis....just because we have that kind of mojo.

My two cents, based on a quick analysis:
UGA- They have better wins than Bama in my view, beat Bama head-to-head, and are conference champs
Clemson - Better resume than Big 12 and PAC-12, and conference champs
Penn St - Head-to-head over WI and conference champ, better team than TCU or Wash State IMO
ND - Better resume than TCU or Wash State IMO, and also a better team

Only loss to SEC Champs. ND did not participate in a conference championship.

Good point, and that could happen, although I would disagree if the committee made that choice. I would take ND over Bama if I were on the committee, despite the non-conference champion angle. For me, choosing between Bama and ND's strength of schedule is a tough call.

ND's strength of schedule is about 1,000% harder than Bama's!

Maybe that will convince them to join a football conference – like the ACC

I think it’s Clemson, UGA, Notre Dame and Penn St.
The only debate is whether BAMA gets the nod but they’re SOS is horrible. Despite their brand and reputation I really do think the committee basically says if UGA or BAMA wants in, they have to win the SECCG, making it a de facto quarterfinal.

Like Penn St last year? Hmmm.
At least UGA beat Notre Dame. Bama's win over FSU means very little now.

Not concerned at this point. There are some more Cuse Clemson games out there this year.
It will all shake out.

I think the loser of the SEC championship is out. I don’t think any conference will get 2 in. Based on your data...

Notre Dame would be 11-1, not 12-1. This is interesting. I think Georgia and Clemson are in because they are the only ones with conference title and a quality non-conference win, both things that the committee values. Wisconsin doesn't belong in the conversation. I could see an argument for anybody else. Really need to know how the 'wins over' teams finished up to know how good of a win that was, and also the closeness of the relevant games. Probably Penn St and TCU without knowing the other info.

Bama will be in with one loss no matter what else happens. If Ga beats them they will both get in

Wisconsin will play PSU in the BIG 10 CG. I still think PSU wins it, and a 2-loss tOSU will be in the NC playoffs once again over an UNDEFEATED BIG 10 CHAMPION PSU because tOSU is just so much better than all the other teams in the country.
