I want to see that killer instinct. Playoff teams need to run up the score rsp against a supposed ranked team higher than us pre season.

That's the reason they are probably backups?

Scoreboard is no longer important. It's about meaningful reps.

This is the exact experience they need to get bettter. I use to always notice the guys struggling as a 2nd or 3rd sting getting snaps and becoming a reliable or even game changing players. Look at someone like capehart or mickens. I remember a couple years ago they would get exposed on things and now they are very good players.

Issues are easy to review on film and learn from.

Your backups will never play meaningful snaps as a unit. You need one or two to play well alongside the starters when called upon. This is the best experience.
