Love seeing those throwback pics and I like those giant shoulder pads. I often wonder if all these shoulder injuries we see nowadays is because the shoulder pads have shrunk so much. You would think these bigger pads would benefit all but especially RBs/LBs from collisions and help WRs/CBs when landing on their shoulders in jump ball scenarios.

Plus they were built tougher back then.

Kind of like when the auto industry switched to fiberglass and carbon plastic in the place of cold hard steel.

A truly B-E-A-utiful picture!

College Football is gone too soon. I am content living with what we have now, but it gets closer to the feeder system for the NFL every year. Like the MiLB for the MLB.
