the program down? Of course, no matter, he’ll eventually leave the program better than how he found it. But how long can he stick around and not be judged for taking the program backwards 15-20 spots in final rankings, recruiting, etc, from the National Championship days? His failure to keep up with the times has made Clemson what will be a fringe top 20 team in a year or two…and outside the top 25 looking in, in 3-4 years. I think if he rides it out 3-4 more years, his legacy will be what he did to hurt Clemson, not the 10-win-season glory days.

I can accept good criticism of Dabo, he has earned some.

But your take is just plain dumb. Hope you didn’t think Micah bout that. Maybe you should stick to easy word searches? As much as I can say we aren’t as good as we once was we lost one game in the acc are in the acc championship game and a win away from the first 12 team playoff. Not saying any of our 3 losses are our finest moments. But who else besides Dabo has our worst year still relevant on the national stage.

Dabos time of goodwill is done gone. What has he done for us lately…oh yea he just lost to the coots for the 2nd time in 3 years and signed an average recruiting class at best. The game has passed him by…

Average recruiting class and small are not the same. The only complaint i have is he lost the DL and Edge guys. The portal needs to come into play for LBs and Edge rushers.

I thought I would die never having seen a Clemson national championship. He showed me two. He gets a pass for life. This is HIS program now. Even if he was running it into the ground, and I do not think he is, it's his to run in the ground. It's not like we were a national power before him. I remember the Bowden days. And in those days I prayed for a 9 win season. As far as I am concerned, Dabo gets to be HC until he wants to retire even if he never win another game.

I have to agree. I think back to the first playoff we almost won. I was so proud. We outplayed Bama but got out coached. The 1981 Championship was amazing. I got to experience it with my father. I remember calling in after the loss to Bama telling Roy Philpot I wanted one more championship to experience with my father. I got two. It was amazing. Some of my best memories with my father. Who won’t be around much longer.
I’m not happy with the on field product since BV left. We aren’t elite anymore. We’re barely competitive in the ACC. It’s the nepotism hires and promoting from within. Dabo hired the best coaches money could buy to win those championships. We got lucky because Stoops screwed BV by making his brother co defensive coordinator or I doubt he ever leaves Norman.
Those championships bought Dabo a lot of leeway. Not a lifetime job. Close. But not quite. He’s not dumb. He will clean it up. Yes, the sky is falling. Who do we replace him with? No thanks. I’m not there. Yet.
I’ve been lucky enough to experience five decades of Clemson football. Pray we don’t run Dabo off for a Ken Hatfield or a Mark Richt. The guys that win 10 games but never the big one. Dabo can win the big ones. How many coaches can say that?!

Assuming you’re serious, I am truly sorry for these responses. We have people that are either very low IQ, or just so in love with Dabo that they can’t see the forest for the trees.

I lived all that and MUCH further back. Dabo. He just needs to hire some position coaches and coordinators. We have arguably the best coach in college history.

An argument can be made for that pre portal and NIL without a shadow of a doubt. The run was epic.
So why didn’t Alabama want their own guy? Why did their fans not want the obvious choice? Does that even make any sense? You can say he didn’t wanna go either. Ok, maybe not. Maybe he did. We won’t know.
After 2018, we all feared the day Saban left. Well that has come and gone and they hire a west coast guy? Alabama? It’s so weird.

I’ve seen some dumb and stupid posts on TNet through the years but this one is absolutely idiotic. I’ve been going to DV since I was 12 years old in 1967. I was there for 3-8 in 1970 and suffered through some absolutely miserable seasons. Dabo is the best thing to ever happen to Clemson football. He isn’t perfect - human like the rest of us; but come on, appreciate what and how he has won two national championships (so far). Go Tigers and thank you Dabo!
